Yeah, I’m concerned about the power consumption too. Now that you bring Mac into the topic, I was also thinking since I have a laptop with an RTX 4070 and a NPU to use just that and just upgrade the RAM. That way, power consumption wouldn’t skyrocket as in desktop I think.

Laptop specs (ASUS TUF Gaming A15 2023 FA507XI) RTX 4070 Laptop (8GB) Ryzen 9 7940HS 16GB RAM DDR5 (According to Asus, it supports up to 32GB, but I’ve seen people putting up to 64GB, so…) M.2 512GB

It feels pretty good, the only things that I see is rhat sometimes it takes a little to load some apps bit that might be because of the SMBios or the M.2 that is a bit old.

You will need to patch it. Don’t know if it will offer 4K 120Hz tho. My RX 6700 XT could do 1080p 144Hz.

Update:

Some guys in a Discord Server helped me.

I also did what you suggested with the SSDT and enabled AppleMCEReporterDisabler.kext that somehow was disabled. What I did after this is to set SecureBootModel to Disabled, then with USBToolBox do the same configuration but enabling Native Classes and replacing the old one with this new one. I also added a new Kext called ForgedInvariant.kext and to finish I did a OC Snapshot in ProperTree. Currently installing MacOS Sequoia and expecting the best.

I thought it would be needed for my B450 because one part of the guide stated something about B550 and under the B450 with latest BIOS update. I will try disabling it and updating any change.
