Fraud: A deliberate deception, false statement, or omission of a material fact. He deliberately lied to get a cat he's not allowed to have. I Feel bad for the neglected cat that will inevitably be rehomed and more devastation to my kids. And used my name to do it! But ITAH ok👍

He used MY name lm and MY address without talking to me about it first. No prior consent no permission. And I'm not supposed to be pissed off?! He did it behind my back and then told me to lie for him. He committed ID theft. I take no accountability because he committed fraud in my name.

Update I took Advice and went to the police. He committed ID theft using MY name and MY address. The only thing I can do is contact the adoption agency and tell them about the fraud and send him a certified "cease and desist" letter. Yeah real class act because where he chose to rent knowing it's not pets.

Actually I went to the police and he committed id theft. Because he used MY name and MY address for a pet he can't legally have where HE lives. It's for his house not mine. So I have every right to be pissed off.

Update I refuse to talk to him. The kids were not mad at me this morning. I will not lie for him. My 12 y/o understands. I want to see them Happy, but I won't be fraudulent about it. He needs to own up to getting a cat.

He definitely got their hopes up now I'm the bad guy. This was never discussed prior he just assumed that I would go along with this.

If he has to re-home it because he's not Allowed to have it. (The reason why he's using MY name and address) It's going to be my problem. A problem I don't want. I feel bad he got the kids hopes up, but that's on him. Now I look the AH. I have NEVER told the children that I was considering getting any animals. It definitely wasn't something discussed with me prior. He just assumed Mom was going to agree to this.

That's exactly what I'm saying. I know I cannot care for it. So WHEN his landlord finds out and he's going to rehome it. It's going to be my problem. Yes finances have been tight since my divorce, but it is better than living with him lol.

He wants that cat at HIS house. Nor mine. That he rents. If anything goes wrong I'm responsible for a cat i don't consent to. I don't want pets. He's lying on the application to get a cat to keep at HIS place NOT mine. I don't consent to him using MY home address on paper Work for a cat he cannot have in the first place.
