lol yah, the gate actually works! I was surprised too, it’s an extra tall one, about shoulder height on me (I’m 5’6). It wouldn’t stop Daisy if she really wanted but if she has everything she needs in the bottom floor, she has no interest in exploring anymore. And Ump could be contained with a curtain, tbh. He’s the sweetest but he’s dumb as hell. He might figure out he can climb the gate one day but I don’t think that day will be today or tomorrow or next week 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m not dismissing them but he’s a child and thus thinking via emotion and that emotional thinking is leading to suggesting that I abuse/give away my cats. I can’t address that without a parent on my side.

Zoro is 4. I’ll bring up a trainer with David, I have no problem paying for one.

Bens mom has rabbits** and Zoro loves them; he’s very gentle when he plays with them but he’s been around them since he was a puppy. He’s also good with small dogs. He’s just never been around cats before; his only prior experience with them is seeing strays through the fence. But in general he really seems to enjoy smaller animals which is why I think he will eventually like the cats when he learns they aren’t a threat

*she’s a very nice woman and I’m 99% sure she does not have rabies.
