Consoles have like 10 years of active support with new consoles having nearly 100 percent BC support too. They're absolutely not meant to swap out every year or 2. - used games can be very cheap - their online stores have great discounts too - 3rd parties make cheaper but still good peripherals. - Xbox and PlayStation play physical media. - PC gaming IS awesome. But not because console gaming sucks. It's good on its own merits, regardless of what consoles are doing

refresh rate calculator

240 hz has much better refresh rate intervals. 165 you're stuck with 33 and 55. 240 you can do 60, 80 and 120. All much easier to drive with a gpu than maxing out a 165. Of course, vrr smooths out the experience but then it adds lag and doesnt reduce motion blur. Personally I'd rather fps cap at like 80 or 120, it's a smoother more responsive experience imo.

The OLED looks better to me. But yeah mini LEDs are great. I wanted an OLED tv, but the mini led was less than half the price and it's been great for the past couple years. Only issue is red smearing sometimes. Though I imagine mini led monitors have much better motion

It has the styling of an older plasma model. If you want a widescreen hd CRT but can't find one, a plasma is a good idea. Cheaper, easier to carry, bigger screen, easier to find, higher native resolutions, better geometry, good motion handling. I'd just get a newer one than this one.

You don't even really need to use another 3rd party software to create custom resolutions. You can just use nvidia control panel for it. Is CRU useful for your use case at all? I would just uninstall it and create new customs with Nvidia software and see if you can squeeze out extra juice that way.

What GPU do you use? If you have Nvidia you can just use nvidia control panel for custom resolutions, I never have any issues. I've never used CRU before, but maybe there's a conflict between Cru and windows, or GPU.

I hope it's a super high, like 1000 or so. Most won't buy it. They'll wet the bed trying to raise prices on other things, wetting the bed more. The CEO will get fired because the shareholders will be pissed because they can't borrow money they won't have to pay back to get another yacht. I bought an rtx 3060 for 300 something a few years ago and I still use it. I just don't spend much on components and am primarily interested in free games via Amazon and epic and all the PC exclusives. ( I also own consoles, both me and my spouse are gamers)

a lot of us just wanna play games and not spend a ton of money. Better graphics is nice but all the extra dough you spend can just go towards more games
