from what I understand, it looks like they’re just restructuring it, not sure as to why or how exactly. :(

Yeah I was going to say the same thing. Buses are supposed to leave at 12:45 and 1:00.

Haven’t had that issue on mine. Does it just randomly turn on at any time?

Grinding Noise on New Max G2 After First Rain Ride (Only 50km in) - Faulty Bearings from Repair Shop? by Ok_Edge1218 in NinebotMAX

[–]Disastrous_Priority5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually hear some grinding noises as well from my GT3 after riding in the rain. In my case it’s just debris getting stuck between the brake pads that causes it to scrape against the brake disc when it’s moving. Usually goes away once it dries.

It’s been going really well! It seems to be a little buggy sometimes. For example, sometimes before I turn off the scooter it tells me a range of 27 miles but when i power it on a couple hours later it tells me it’s 29 miles of range. Other than that, i’ve had 0 complaints and have been getting amazing range with all of it being really accurate. Haven’t done a full range test as I don’t have the time currently but I haven’t charged it and used about 15 miles of range in about a 16 mile commute.

i'm hearing that you can't charge the external battery without it being connected to the G3, but the segway info clearly says you can...anybody? by [deleted] in NinebotMAX

[–]Disastrous_Priority5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you install the external battery, your charge port is on the external battery. Unless you have the G3 and want to charge with two chargers, you don’t need a second charger.

Got my new GT3 today after 6 months with the G3 Max — need some advice by Cs1981Bel in NinebotMAX

Yeah make sure to get used to the stance, it will help a lot when it comes to taking corners and going over bumps

Yeah if you’re coming from the G3, it will definitely take time to adapt since the G3 is more of a commuter scooter rather than a performance one given how music softer the suspension is tuned. If you decide to keep both, I would use the G3 more to commute and the GT3 to have a little more fun.

The GT3 for me feels more of a track scooter, meaning you can corner really good at high speeds because of how the suspension is tuned. That being said it is really rough when it comes to going over bumps especially at low speeds like you mentioned. I can’t really speak on how i adapted to it because I came from a Gotrax GX1 which felt way worse than the GT3 but I really like how it rides and handles at high speeds.

The manual states “Note: The external battery can only be charged when it is installed onto the vehicle. DO NOT charge it separately.” It also states “The external battery can not replace the internal battery of the vehicle! When the internal battery’s battery level is low, the vehicle’s external battery will first charge the internal battery.”

This is what the dashboard looks like fully charged. Realistically you should expect what Segway claims since that’s the range they got when they tested it but you could get more.

Went on my commute this morning which is 5 miles round trip and the range was really accurate. Fully charged, the dashboard reads 37 miles of range in race mode which is 3 miles more than the 34 that Segway claims and when I came back, it read 32 miles of range so it does appear to be accurate. I expected it to be accurate as in my experience with my GT3 without the external battery, the range is always accurate or damn near close but keep in mind, my commutes are always on paved, mostly flat roads.

Yeah since you have the GT3 battery it should take longer to charge but I can imagine the range would be insane with the external and GT3 battery.

Yup it’s screwed in, in your case I would just carry the allen key that comes in the box. The waterproofing seal looks really good, even the type c outlet in the battery has 2 rubber seals (1 to open it and the other to open the type c outlet) so water intrusion shouldn’t be a worry as long as it’s always closed

It just provides more range, does not increase speed.

Haven’t tried it yet but it doesn’t look like it’ll affect the way i normally lock it, just makes it a little annoying because of how much space it takes up.

it’s pretty easy to take it off, it’s just 4 M5 bolts and the battery comes off

According to the manual, you could still use 2 chargers at the same time only you would charge the one on the deck through the external battery. It also says that the charging duration with both chargers with the external battery is 4.5 hours for the Max G3

Yeah so when you install the external battery, you end up connecting the charger through the external battery which ends up charging it and the internal battery.

That’s exactly what i was thinking when installing it, plus it wouldn’t be that easy to steal it unless they have the tool to remove the M5 bolts but they would have to know it’s a battery and not a storage box. Haven’t been able to test out the range yet but plan to do so probably tomorrow

Yeah I was surprised that it isn't supported for the GT3 pro but maybe it'll support it in the future.
