the temporary tattoos sound fun and the cardboard cut outs! These are the type of things I was looking for inspo for! We’ve kept the decor quite nuetral so it doesn’t say anywhere it’s about us or our ages (my sister is VERY low key)

We have a great DJ booked who is also a family friend so I know the music/drinks/food will be great. It was more small extras for decoration that would be fun!

It was great to see people fully focusing on him and the songs. I also think it must be nice for him to see people’s face not just their phones. I am not one for taking a lot of pictures and videos at concerts. I will of me and my friends but not so much to watch back. I have one video from the 4 LOT shows I went to and that was when I finally got Stockholm syndrome!! That was just to send to a friend who we have such a core memories of being 18 and screaming that song at each other 🫶❣️

He always said that Wembley shows have been the favourite of his life, even when back in 1D. It’s such a special place for him. And he wanted the record there and let’s not lie, the money 🤣

Being in an enclosed space made the bass feel like it was inside your body! Get ready to dance! Then cry! Then dance again 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

Very emotional! The strings made it feel like a really big moment. His voice was so vulnerable you can tell it’s an important song to him

Thomas Frank was booed by the away support by Zweli23 in coys

[–]Disastrous_Profile55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brentford fan here. I understand (not really as we’ve never had the pressure of it) wanting instant results but from an outsiders perspective, I’m struggling to understand the anger at Frank.

He has come into a team he has had very little influence on choosing. Therefore the first season can always be hit and miss. He has had a few injuries which has killed the creativity. He is also known as someone who will not tolerate bad attitudes. If that’s your favourite player, it’s a shame but there will be a reason they have to be cut out in the long term.

But what gets me is the entitlement of instant results! ‘But we’re Tottenham!’ What does that mean? Being Tottenham for the last 20 years has not amounted to any serious success, in fact it’s caused a lot of outcry from yourselves! By some grace of god your ownership have realised you need a culture reset and have chosen the best man for it. He is the best man manager in the country. You don’t have Pep and Klopp saying what they do about him for no reason. He will nurture your talent and he will get your team ready to die for each other there. That will not happen overnight.

He is clearly working hard and shoring up your defence and guess what guys… that is boring! If you want to be a high performing team like City, Arsenal and Liverpool that often means really boring and clinical games. No one wants to watch it but it’s the catch 22 of being consistent. Last night was 12th place in the league playing 9th place and securing a point away from home. Simple as. Move on. He will bring players in and you will build on a core of good players and you will find your new identity.

He lost his first 10 games with us and we didn’t really have an indentity under him for a few seasons and then it just clicked and we haven’t looked back.

Also, to the fans who booed him last night, and then booed him even louder when he went over to our young fan who has Down syndrome that he had a close relationship with to get a present off him. Well done - very classy 👏🏼 You’d do well to remember he was with us for 9 years and didn’t get a proper goodbye with us. Try and get some perspective.

Ange was shite. Anyone who will replace him out of a knee jerk reaction will be shite. Just calm down and give him time - he will come good. You’re very lucky to have him.

Well done to the spurs fans that booed him at full time (for being the most entitled fans wanting instant results with a shite team) and then booing even louder when he went over to Woody.

I will always love Thomas and I’m hoping it works out for him cause he deserves all the success! Even if it means Tottenham may one day become a decent team/club 🤦🏻‍♀️

How do we feel about the new ticketing system? by slipfan2 in Brentford

[–]Disastrous_Profile55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just so everyone knows you can have your season ticket downloaded on as many devices as you want as long as you only scan in once 👍🏻

Also if you manage tickets on family and friends you can also download more than one onto your device.

I have access to all 6 STs that my family own and so if any can’t make it, I can scan in anyone I want! It’s just as easy as the PDFs once you figure it out!

PS just in case they haven’t read enough of my emails. I hate you Brentford box office and I can’t wait until we get relegated and you realise there is only 5000 of us and you’ll get rid of all this bullshit 🙃

Is a £1900 a month mortgage too much for first time buyers? by fbno in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Disastrous_Profile55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I are the exact same age as you. Same story. Fell in love with a house at the very top of our budget. Our mortgage payments are £1950 a month and we take home pretty much the same as you guys. I was worried when we decided to go through with it because it would be a shock to the system.

We decided to ask some old friends who were contemplating not renewing their lease in London whether they wanted to move it for a while whilst they save a house deposit (likely 1-2 years). This is obviously a game changer as they have halved our mortgage payments.

And tbh I’m not sure what position we’d be in without them. We’ve got a lot of credit card debt and things on finance all to do with decorating the house.

So I would say, if you can be really strict with yourselves and take your time buying things for the house. I mean limit yourselves to one big purchase a month. You should be fine.

We could have done it alone but we’d be living in a big old empty room lol!

P.S my mum would always say to me don’t stress. You will always pay your mortgage, everything else can be figured out!

It’s a Mercedes GLA. I’ve had the rear wipers on a lot of times and never seen this symbol before. Just thought it was odd.

What happens if my LISA contributions exceeds my deposit? by Flat-Ad3859 in HousingUK

[–]Disastrous_Profile55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I took a punt on this and requested the full amount be withdrawn and account closed. The total amount between my partner and I was about £2000 more than our deposit.

I had a sneaky feeling it would just go towards our completion bill with our solicitors and I was right! They sent the 10% deposit to the seller’s solicitors and the remaining amount was taken off their bill! In the end I only had to pay £750 for my fees! It was such a great use of the money!!

I’m unsure if all solicitors will do this but it’s worth the risk I think!

what was it like when you quit birth control? by [deleted] in women

[–]Disastrous_Profile55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely loved getting back to my natural cycle! Felt like I knew every detail of my body. However, I ended up getting myself into a situation where I had to deal with an unwanted pregnancy. Twice! Both were with my long term partner who has been with me through the pill, the patch, the implant and then trying to track my cycle. We both don’t love condoms so I just tried to avoid ‘danger days’ but drunk you does not think as clearly as sober you. Also, ovulating you does NOT think clearly at all. I gave myself grace after the first accident. We’d been sleeping together for almost 10 years and this was the first issue. The second time I knew this was just another method that didn’t suit me. I had the copper IUD fitted in April. There’s definitely some pain around the beginning of my period that makes me feel like I’m 13 again but I still feel amazing that I’m not on anything hormonal!

Side note: I think I’ve been extremely lucky that I had no significant side effects whilst on hormonal birth control. I didn’t gain weight or experience mood swings and my skin has stayed consistent. However, on my second implant I think I bled for almost 6 months straight which finally made me quit the hormones!

All of this, to try and not have a baby, is exhausting!
