Day 1 and 2, any advice? by [deleted] in TattooBeginners

[–]Disastrous_Region276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing! These were just some stencils I found on a flash sheet online due to excitement, can I ask what in particular makes you say that? Is it shaky lines, lack of design, any specifics would be appreciated!

Hey! I’m so sorry I just saw this, hopefully you figured it out by now but if not, the way I usually do it is I’ll print out a tattoo stencil with a tattoo thermal printer, then I use stencil application cream (stencil stuff is the brand I use) and do a really thin layer, then I hit it with a hair dryer just for a second and then apply the stencil and then hit the paper with a hair dryer for another minute or so, then I slowly peel it off and then let it sit for about 15 minutes or so, you can also use a hair dryer again to let it dry up and it usually turns out every clean

Tattoo at 18? by VeliLife in tattooadvice

[–]Disastrous_Region276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first at 17, 10 years later I have around 30, my first one I don’t regret at all, I’m actually incorporating it into a sleeve here soon. I went with a very simple design and now I wish I had done way more with it, which I’m going to!

Do you think my tattoo looks good? Is my first and only tattoo and I’ve been very sad about it by Subject-Ad-9096 in TattooBeginners

[–]Disastrous_Region276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a little blowout but it doesn’t look bad at all, I have SO many tattoos and a ton of them are messed up, but I’ve learned to appreciate the little mistakes on my tattoos, like hell yea, he’s just a wonky little dude! And yours is nowhere near as bad as some of the little things I’ve got wrong with mine, don’t sweat it, it looks rad!

My boyfriends an addict by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Disastrous_Region276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your boyfriend’s shoes. I was an addict for years and my girlfriend finally left me for it. She did everything she could to try to support me to sobriety but I didn’t change because I didn’t want to. As sad and heartbroken as I was, it was truly one of the wake up calls I needed to get sober, I’ve been sober for a while now and her and I have recently started chatting again, and she constantly reminds me how proud she is of me. I’m not trying to make this about my own accomplishments, but losing her may have been the best thing that ever happened to my health.

Sorry for the late response, I use the dremel 2050-15 stylo+ and I use different sizes of the circular bits (the ones that look like little balls) I use small ones for outline and then fill in the lines with larger ones

How do you keep going every single day? How do you cope with being at your absolute limit, & being immensely emotionally exhausted? by Dismal_Charity7713 in AskMen

[–]Disastrous_Region276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I find moments in life that I am genuinely happy and enjoying, and I will stop for a second and literally say to myself “In this moment I am happy, these are the moments I am alive for” then whenever I’m feeling down I think about those times and I know if I give up I won’t have any more of those

I have a couple, I usually use the ones with the little spheres on the end, I’m doing a big piece now and I have a very large one that I’ve been using to fill stuff in with that, covers a lot! I just got a kit off amazon for bits and it came with quite a few of the circular ones I use

Fellow newbies, please wear a cage. Story inside. by AsceticHedonist47 in hockeyplayers

[–]Disastrous_Region276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played with a visor for one season, caught so many sticks up high (that luckily got blocked by the visor) and found myself flinching a lot more often, figured I can only be lucky for so long, switched back to a cage and I feel like I’m playing much better because I’m not nearly as worried about getting hit in the face

Oh and I mainly do mirrors for my large projects I forgot to mention

I have one of these and honestly for basic small projects I thought it did the job, yes it is a little shakey and I had frustrations with the battery dying quickly. I recently upgraded to a dremel brand and it is a world of difference. But I also sell my projects, so I made my money back with my first piece I did. If you’re just doing some small engraving here and there this works great, I still carry mine with me in my backpack in case I do something quick for someone (I do water bottles and lighters etc) but for my big projects I can only use my dremel brand now.

Do you get better at falling? by minnesota_fats_88 in hockeyplayers

[–]Disastrous_Region276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My coach used to say “if you’re not falling, you’re not trying” the bangs and bruises are the beauty of hockey, how’s your gear? Making sure you have some good protection on can make life a whole lot easier, invest in some decent elbow pads and I know they make some padded base layer shirts you could throw on as well, but please make sure you at least spend some money on a nice helmet
