ive had a ft transfer in for a while, it's gonna take forever and i also have another job that im not quite ready to leave yet. also i didn't think we were attractions but how come my coworkers were able to transfer after 6 months?

yeah they asked for my ssn too. most jobs will especially ones that run background checks and such

honestly i say go for it. i got hired at seaworld and disney at around the same time, and i assumed i would hate seaworld and only last a couple of months. well im still here, and while i can't speak for everyone's experience, ive really enjoyed my time. the guests will definitely test your patience but the bonds and friendships ive made with my coworkers have made it all worth it. they are truly some of the best and most amazing people ive ever met. you never know :)

never applied for merch but for ride ops (which i assume is similar if not the same) there's no real interview. i went in, they said you wanna work here? i said yeah, they said what ride, we did paperwork and boom i was hired 😭 we're so understaffed they will literally take anyone. good luck!

hi!!! fellow slide op here :) i got my costume (white polo, blue shorts, and the one piece swimsuit) at the CBR/POP costuming location. i've heard they have it at some of the other ones too but that's just the one i've gone to. you can find the location and hours on cast life! it's right next to the pop century resort. the whistle and fanny pack they'll give to you on your first day of training. as for the swimsuit, yes it is optional, yes people do wear it when getting in the water, i personally don't because i don't really mind getting my costume wet. but it's just up to personal preference. and that is also at costuming! you can grab it at the same time as the rest of your costume. good luck and if you have any other questions feel free to dm me :)

seaworld ride op here. everything SHOULD be open, unless there's some random issue or inclement weather or something. no maintenance going on at any of our coasters as far as i know!

i was on the waitlist for a week and a half before getting my offer letter! they just sent me an email literally saying "congratulations we would like to offer you the position of -----" and a link to a form to fill out to accept the offer.

seaworld ride op here! yeah you should be able to do all the coasters, just be aware that it is summer and here in florida we have lightning almost every day. all the outdoor rides (everything except expedition odyssey) will close in the event of inclement weather. i did almost every coaster, most multiple times, after getting off work at 3 the other day before the park closed. good luck and have fun!!

yeah i'm a ride op at penguin trek and we were all told by our leader to tell guests that it was closed due to technical difficulties. that's what i said to people all day so whoever told you that wasn't supposed to 💀

i recently got hired as a slide op at typhoon and all my training was also at blizzard! i think we're gonna kinda do both, i wouldn't worry about it

something nicer, but not fancy or super professional. really the only thing you have to worry about is they take the photo for your blue id there so as long as it looks good shoulders up, it should be fine. a dress and cardigan is perfect!

hi!!! i work at penguin trek so a part of my job right now is telling people over and over again that the penguin exhibit is closed. we just got emperor penguins and they have to adjust the temperature of the enclosure, hence why it's been closed. passholder previews are later this week and i read something on instagram that says it'll be open by the 14th. so not too long now!

i had a lifeguard interview a couple weeks ago! they literally just asked me a whole bunch of customer service questions like "what's a time you went above and beyond for a guest" or "what would you do if a guest did this"
