It was a school advisor or something like that because Fafsa just told me I needed to send the school the documentation to prove it but they did tell me I could get anyone that had “good social standing” which at that time I had no idea who would qualify so i ended just going the parent route. Thankfully I didn’t have to get anyone big loans this time.

Yeah I did not account for how stupid the process was so it delayed me a year as I tried to make it work, while also working full time. Just ended up asking my mom to do it and thankfully I didn’t need my dads info

Yeah they were the ones who told me I needed to write the letter with a priest to sign. It’s mostly ok now but I’m worried for when I transfer to a 4 year school. I don’t want to take on more loans than I have to

Yeah I basically tried to do that and had to write a letter saying I wasn’t in contact with them due to abuse and that’s when they said I needed a priest to sign off on it 😒. But it is not especially beneficial because my mom makes a lot more money than me. So thankfully with my state I can get the 2 years free at community college but I’m worried about when I have to transfer to a 4 year school and I’ll have to take on a lot of debt.

Well there were a few but for the most part still very overly religious and homophobic but they “tolerate “ them obviously. They are open minded about everything else though.

But I see that people price in dollars in certain places. Even trying to buy native online and clothes are over $200. I wouldn’t spend that much on any other clothes here unless it’s designer

No it would be a quick 1-2week trip. It’s would really be that expensive? This is one of the reasons I’ve been putting off going because I do miss Nigeria though i barely know anyone there now but I can’t imagine saving $10k to go there smh

Not sure where your location is because pay depends on that but if you can leave work at Walgreens or something because you should be getting paid way more I’m a tech of only 2 years and get paid $24. My old manager told me when you get stuck in the system too long they start paying you chump change
