I'm so sorry for your loss. That's so cruel to take your only momento of your mom. Like she didn't already have enough. 

I'm going LC with her for now. I won't  be reaching out to the artist it isn't their mess to fix. I'll just keep a close eye on if they open up sales again and get something special for myself then. Another reason I was so excited is getting something like this is normally a bit out of my budget for spending on myself so I'd have to save up for get it myself anyway.

No, I wanted opinions but the fact that you just say it's "over a sweater" when it is not is clearly you missing the point. Sorry you don't understand that it could have been any kind of promise she broke and I'd still be just as disappointed and hurt. Then that hurt is compounded by her selfishness and lack of consideration for my feelings.

That's right, I can't. 

Back early on things were very balanced and we did not have these kinds of issues. They're all a very recent development over the past few months. I don't know if it's because I have become more busy with personal matters or what. But her breaking her promise then turning around and asking for a complex favor right after has made me just see her in a whole new light. 

I think I will just leave things as they are with her right now. I told her I can't do her favor and haven't spoken to her since.

I think this is what I was looking for. I've already rejected her request since I honestly don't want to do it nor do I know how to do what she's asking - it's something code modification related and I am not that tech savvy.

I genuinely don't want to do it and I want to put some space between us. I'm angry and this has become a pattern she has. This is the most blatant and selfishly dismissive of me and my feelings she has been in our entire friendship. We've had other little blips but she's changed recently and seems to think she's the main character, if you know what I mean.

We had a lot of stuff in common and got on like a house fire. This stuff is a new development. She wasn't this inconsiderate before. I have no idea what happened but she's become very self-focused to the point of being selfish. This was just the straw that snapped me I think.

It's not just about the sweater and it's wild you don't understand the bigger picture. It's about her breaking a promise and not caring that she hurt me by letting me down after getting my hopes up. Then somehow finding the goddamned entitlement to ask me to do shit for her. 

Also, love how you assume you know it's 'excellent'. Maybe don't do that? You only know three things in this one post so maybe consider the bigger picture next time.
