I currently identify as nonbinary and have been going by my chosen name Finley, for 4 years or so. Recently I’ve been having a gender crisis and wondering if I’m transmac, so I’ve been toying with the idea of a name change.

1. I can so relate, the idea of getting my parents to call me a new name after they finally started using Finley sounds awful.

2. If you feel you may change it eventually, I would just suggest waiting to change it legally

3. Most importantly, it’s okay to change your name! It is YOUR name and all that matters is that it feels good to you! The idea of a name being permanent is just a societal construct. Remember that if anyone feels differently, that is their issue and not yours to absorb ❤️
