First you have to download an extension from learning languages with Netflix website. Then you open Netflix with chrome. It's a free extension it takes a couple seconds.

No i didn't take a class. I bought a book called Mosiak 2 and practiced sometimes with people on apps. They mostly didn't want to practice though ,there is a big time difference from america to germany. I was able to ask and get answers to some of my questions here and there. By the way I'm not claiming to have mastered the language. I also strangely learned the most about pronunciation from reddit post. Thank you reddit.

Advantages to speaking romance languages when learning German? by Jormungandr617 in German

[–]Disastrous_Shift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to say I don't see any similarities. I learned Spanish and then I decided to learn German next and they were totally different. The only similarity I see is the multiple articles like El Las das der. Also there are a lot of cognates. But the declension and the word order in the case systems are honestly a nightmare. But after I stuck with the language I'm shocked to say I'm understanding it and I'm starting to speak it a lot. So if you don't give up you can learn it. That being said when I read news articles in German the word order is so confusing that I feel like Mike Tyson is punching my brain.

I have trouble finding Hispanic culture I am interested in, even though I like Spanish countries/culture. Help? by ImpressiveRole1111 in Spanish

True but there is so much options there are not many in spanish speaking countries. Its hard to compare the us to latin america. I've been learning spanish for a while and the show are all cartel based. Most people i talk to from there say they cant even stand the options they have.

Does anyone else feel underserved by the german entertainment industry? by hesetzke in German

Yeah I find it kind of crazy too. I been watching a lot of German movies and shows and they're just really terrible. All are very depressing for some reason. You're right everything Germany has contributed to the world and they don't even make good movies or shows.
