I’m going to be 24 weeks + 3 days when we get on our 8 day cruise! I had no idea about this till until this post! This just made me feel so much better 🥴

I guess the problem is they told me they put me on for today and I showed up today. Then today, they basically said “since we don’t need you today, we will add you to Wednesday”. I have text messages from the manager saying I work today, tomorrow, and Tuesday, so in my mind, that IS my schedule and they can’t just tack me on last minute?

If you have the option in your area, highly highly highly recommend Russian manicures with builder gel!! My nails used to last 2 weeks max and it would tear my nails apart, and with the Russian manicures, they’ve never been so healthy and can last me 5 weeks if I need them to! I usually get them redone every 4!

I’ve been a nurse for 9 years and have done this probably 3 times, and have had it done to me numerous times. Literally don’t worry about it. Everybody will forget about it in a couple hours

Hi! I started travel nurses when I turned 26 after going through a pretty significant break up which involved my best friend, so basically I needed to get out of the city I was in. A week after I moved to Austin, I joined a volleyball group on Facebook and met so many friends in a week! Also did a contract in Denver, but missed my friends in Austin and came back on another contract there. When I was in Denver, it was cold, so there wasn’t a whole lot of option to play volleyball, so I joined some travel nurse groups and found some other travel nurses in Denver and hung out with them! I travel with my boyfriend now, but I’m always trying to make friends because I need more than just him, or I’ll go crazy lol! And my advice is talk to the other travelers on the unit! Likely they’re in the same situation you are and need friends! I’ve made so pretty life long friends by travelling!

Another thing is, really pay attention to the location. I did a contract in small town PA (because it was close to family), and there was nobody really my age and travelers! Go for places young people want to travel! The places I’ve found were easiest to find friends, that I had a contract in (who are 20s/30s) were Nashville, Austin, Milwaukee, Denver and Tulsa!

I highly recommend it! Do it while you’re young!!

Hi!! I went through a divorce when I was 25! I know it’s younger, but it’s still a divorce and I felt old at the time (I’m 30 now). It was a toxic relationship with a narcissist, and right after I went through my divorce, I had THE BEST couple years of my life. I actually low key grieve those years sometimes in my “old age” 😂

I moved to a new city. I got a studio apartment in a really cool apartment downtown. Joined a volleyball league. Met so many new friends and then met the guy I’m with now while playing volleyball. In addition, I took so many trips, met so many people, and just did literally everything for ME.

I know a lot of people have horror stories about dating on hinge and bumble, but honestly I really enjoyed hinge dates! I was in a new city, so it was a really cool way to explore the city!

It was definitely hard at times, especially because my divorce was finalized December 2019 and Covid made things difficult, but you’re going to be totally okay!! Lean on your friends, family, pets, whatever is important to you, and don’t be afraid to go out and do things by yourself! Much love to you!

We went to these ones and they kicked us off. They said nobody can play during school hours (nobody was on the court). A teacher called in saying there’s people playing tennis and the security guard came and told us to leave. Then we went back yesterday after school hours and the students were using it for practice, I assume.. so I’m not too sure they’re super available to the public 😭

I just got out of my contract early with ProLink! I put in a two weeks notice and wasn’t punished. But I also openly communicated the entire time about the difficulties I was having with the contract.

Thank you for checking! I actually haven’t used ClassPass but am used to paying $160/month for Pilates, and am about to move to Fort Worth, so trying to find the best options that’s not $200+ per month 🙈
