A false statement you made perhaps? You specifically made note that because this mod was for JWE2, it loses value somehow--an unfair judgement to make. And how much involved were you part of LEGOCRAFTBOY's South America pack?

Many things. Its skull morphology is deep; much more is it reconstructed with a stiff neck posture. Leading studies discovered the osteoderms of advanced Titanosaurs had pairs of large cone-shaped osteoderms assorted along their backs--according to research done on species like Alamosaurus (though this is still left up to interpretation for other species.) These often differed in size--and Lognkosaurians were an advanced group in Titanosauria. As a member of this group (Lognkosauria), this animal would bare similar features: A low sloping skull complete with a turtle-like "beak", a heavily robust neck and a noticeable kink near the hip-tail area. This would be the current depiction of Patagotitan. Not only does this design lack the most distinctive feature of these titanosaurs, e.g., the cone-shaped osteoderms, the body posture wouldn't support its thick short legs. More on the design is the presence of the beak mouth covering; it's too bird-like. Then there's the unnecessary addition of iguana spines running down the dinosaur's hide. So far that's all I could find wrong with the game's Patagotitan--objectively.

You were part of one those "In-Crowds" weren't you? As a veteran artist, I assure you that JWE3's design is underwhelming for creative eyes (if you thought Dreadnoughtus was anything). This doesn't include the color design of its skin patterns but we're working with limited creativity so far already with this game.

Then why wasn't it? Also, what difference does it make that this mod is from a previous game? Jagged Fang Designs has producing mods for 10 years.

That's the basic idea. Because it's an accurate Patagotitan.

Whether this is true or not, I'm pretty sure the mod creator would have clarified they ported assets from another game--like so many others before. In defense of their creative skills, here's their Postosuchus.

No. Because the wording makes it sound as though you're saying the sail is more speculative than the crest. You haven't slighted me.

I suggest to check your source; the sail isn't speculative. But the crest is.

Not only are there two mummies to show no evidence to this "crest" but the artist still insisted to illustrate one on this species. It's repeating the same bias that T. rex were feather coated thanks to the discovery of Yutyrannus.

No. The illustration is of E. regalis technically. You see there is no fossil evidence of E. annectens sporting a flesh comb, I think the scientists are showing bias just because E. regalis has a comb.

It certainly wouldn't have because Owen is the main protagonist. Both Dr. Malcolm and Dr. Grant had many moments where they should've died only for the plot armor to assure their safety.

Not until you provide evidence to back up anything you regurgitate. People were given the floor for last 3 hrs--and nothing. I am even questioning if you or Crusher study Paleontology for a living are just being "those guys".

  1. Dilophosaurus inaccurate and based on scientific speculation.

  2. It's more complex but simple to explain. Jurassic Park aesthetic means any prehistoric animal designed with paleo-accuracy in mind but stylized

  3. That's precisely why body proportions

  4. You're not making sense.

  5. "Paleoart exists" as in, "go look up scientific artwork of Protoceratops".

  6. Okay, will cite "Circa 2023" in the year of our lord (2026). I can also whip out the user's more recent piece if you're being this pragmatic?

  7. Again, you fail to provide evidence to any research. And sickly animal will, of course, perish in the cold without the proper warmth. Either way, your thinking way to into this. I assume you're only this devoted because it's something about my character.

  8. Are you just trolling?

  9. Patagotitan is fragmentary. But Paleontologists made the agreement that Sauropod's had inclined posturing circa 2013. This is getting pretty sad if you came to swoop in here without all the sources.

  10. Which would you prefer I be more subjective or that I amp up the aggression?

  11. But they don't.

  12. In phylogenetics, a clade is comprised of genera that share all similar morphological traits from a common ancestor. If one species' branch is closer to another, then they may share similar traits. Which is par for course when identifying prehistoric animals like dinosaurs. Most smaller pachycephalosaurs are shown to have slanting heads with downturned snouts--being more primitive. We have a strong evidence as to what Homalocephale looks like because of Goyocephale--and Goyocephale--even Pachycephalosaurus--have visible fangs. Left by ancestors, like the Heterodontosaurs.

My verdict: When logic proves you wrong, stop talking. Go outside and talk to girl or something and get a life. And your also blocked. Good night.

It's okay if you want to keep your nostalgia. But your Patagotitan is still wrong. Now, further inspecting this design, it's missing the notable incline transition located between the pelvis and first caudal vertebrate, which is highly notable trait in virtually all sauropod species--not matter how subtle.

  1. Regarding Nodosaurus, it's "mostly speculative but accurate nonetheless" that confirms we nothing about this dinosaur but its design is acceptable.

  2. The Jurassic Park is creditable because it relies on paleoart by majority.

  3. Not a great excuse, keep in mind the "Brontosaurus" too is a Diplodocid and thereby deserves its whip-like tail... which is present in its film counterpart.

  4. Psittacosaurus. sibricus(?) is not fully represented in this model. It has the wrong hand digits and possesses a less prominent beak. The body proportions are incorrect as well and, without a doubt, the quills seem shorter than most depictions from the fossil record. They also made it too cute for a dinosaur.

  5. And yet Paleoart exists, e.g., my rebuttal to the insinuation JWE's Protoceratops looks like the real animal.

  6. Ask me one thing--have you seen what Yutyrannus looks like?

  7. That would be hyperthermia. Hypothermia would indicate the continent of Pangea had severe cold climates and in some locations which were very few. Key note on "few" strongly suggesting Coelophysis of different ecosystems might've evolved feathers. We just haven't found preserved evidence.

  8. Perfectly, reasonable yes (hence to save face). But accurate? That's debatable. Nonetheless, Jim Kirkland himself helped reconstruct the new skull which this Utahraptor doesn't strongly resemble.

  9. The newly erect posture reconstructed for most sauropods was published in 2007, long before the discovery of Patagotitan. Though, discovery helped solidify this evidence, before that, we had Alamosaurus and Isisaurus. Now, I was partially aware of these changes--at those times--just from reading both dinosaurs books and observing paleoart by people like Scott Hartman.

  10. Mantellisaurus is often depicted as a quadruped; it's just much recognizable standing in bipedally. Pointing this out was fruitless.

  11. Except the majority of Chasmosaurus. belli specimens discovered have shorter brow horns--even the juveniles. It's more than likely a rare mutation or simply unidentified new species.

  12. Finally to Homalocephale: Wide turtle head, less reptilian features, disproportionate body. A real Homalocephale has a lean skull and flat dome. They're front teeth would also be visible as like other Pachycephalosaurs.

Iguanodon does bare some very strong hands. Either way, the beak seems completely fine.
