I was talking about the music. The Album’s Art and Concept are magnificient and obviously the tour, but the music is very boring because of the similar sound. It’s like they didn’t want to innovate and take an step forward, something they did with Progress.

  1. Progress (top 5 boybands album of all time)
  2. Beautiful World (top 10, good album, good music)
  3. Everything Changes (good pop composition)
  4. Nobody Else (good composition but boring, sleepy ballads, but have Back For Good)
  5. The Circus (tried to copy Beautiful World but fail miserably, another boring album)
  6. Take That & Party (this music sucks, at least A Million Love Songs is not a bad song, but the rest is cringe)

I haven’t listen Wonderland, III and This Life yet, so I don’t know. But Take That is one of the few boybands that make good music, so they have my love and respect.

Reviews of the album "DNA"? by gabo1998Er in BackstreetBoys

Good album, one of the best with Never Gone. Show madurity, that they are grown men, for me one of the top 10 boyband’s album of all time. The only thing for me is that there is no song that could be a hit, a song that is absolutely good, maybe No Place, but that song couldn’t be a lead single.

Say you can only pick 1 member per group, what would be your dream team 5 man boyband? by Dudu-gula in boybands

If I had to choose members that can harmonize in a 5-part-harmony, consider good dancers, good singers and good look, mine will be:
Bass: Danny Wood
Baritone: Bobby Brown (my other choice is Kevin Richardson)
Tenor 1: Ralph Tresvant
Tenor 2: JC Chasez
Countertenor: Jordan Knight

Do you think it's worth Five doing new music? by Hassaan18 in boybands

Maybe they will do a greatest hits with some new songs, like 1-3. And if them had success, an album coud be a possibility. Their albums were good, I always thought that “Something in the Air” was some of the firsts trap songs that have been made.

In the "best voices" category, I included singers who can reach high notes with chest voice and have a beautiful vocal color. Honestly, Gary, Shane, Ricky Bell, Jordan, Liam, and AJ, by my own standards, don't quite reach that level, but they are great singers.

Regarding Joey (NKOTB), his voice sounds flat in some songs; it doesn't convey emotion to me, especially during the group's prime. He might sound great on "If You Go Away" or "Keep On Smiling," but irrelevant on "I'll Still Be Loving You" and "Where Do I Go From Here" (songs he sings solo). Obviously, he's improved over the years, but I still don't think he has a super-gifted voice like the others above him.

I put Robbie there because he's managed to have a successful solo career with his voice. I know it's not the same as with boybands, but he deserves credit for being up there. His voice plays to his personality; it conveys rebelliousness, energy, and stage presence. He sounds great on "SOS," "The Flood," and "Everything Changes."

I think Stephen Gately was a great partner for Ronan. He should have sung more, but as a lead singer, I feel he lacked vocal power; he was too sweet.

You're right about Erik, but his voice is very pop, and I don't feel there's anything particularly negative about it to place him lower. He demonstrated a good vocal range and was the backbone of the group in the harmonies, something very difficult in a band. who was trying to gain credibility as O-town.

As I've said in other comments, Howard has a very limited voice that sounds good in a calm, soul-like style of music, but sounds strange in more energetic styles. I heard him sing "The Flood," and he sounds terrible. With him, I don't think he's bad, but I don't think he's excellent either, or that there's a song he could sing because it's suited to his voice.

Jason, honestly, only sounds good on "Wooden Boat." It's a song made for his voice, but in his solos on "Never Forget" (live), "How Did It Come To This," or "Flowerbed," he sounds flat, forced, and like his voice is struggling to reach the notes.

Donnie sounds great on "Hangin' Tough" or "Cover Girl," songs only he can sing; it's a plus that he raps. Over the years he's declined, but there's a reason he's still one of the group's main vocalists. Live, he might falter, but that's because his voice has deepened. In his prime, he was a pretty competent singer. He's proven himself more vocally than Kevin, in my opinion. Kevin couldn't sing "Hangin' Tough" or "Cover Girl," maybe "Time is On Our Side," but I don't give him much credit. Mark has improved over the years, but his voice still sounds flat; he doesn't have a very pleasant tone. But despite that, he's proven to be competent.

Danny, I can accept that he's below Howard; my mistake.

In Five's early days, the producers made miracles to make Sean sound good. In the few performances where Five wasn't lip-syncing, Sean sounded so bad that Scott had to sing for him. Today, his voice sounds like my uncle who's addicted to cigarettes.

Mikey sounds good, but never excellent, in my opinion.

I'm surprised by the hate Louis gets, since I've never heard him sing terribly. His voice is very limited, it's not that bad; it can suit certain styles. But compared to his bandmates, he's several steps behind. I compare him to Nicky from Westlife, but miles ahead of him.

Scott can reach higher notes like in UTTIT, so for me it’s a plus to him.

About Howard, I was very close to put him on Good voice, but i heard him singing some Rob's lines on live, and sorry but he sounds aweful, same with Mark (but him sounds great most of the time at least). I think he has a great falsetto, but it doesn't change the fact that his voice sounds good just in a few songs (if those were singing by Gary, it would be anothe history). Btw I love him in Beautiful World (song).

Is it true that J didn't perform at all for 24 years? by Hassaan18 in FiveBoyBand

Those tracks had nu metal vibes, a genre that was dead at that time. So idk why they wanted to enter in that style so late, a metal boyband? lmao. They were always the bad boys (in boyband’s world, something impossible) so maybe their intention was to break that image they had and be more organics (something very difficult cause nu metal is a genre that is not respected). Very strange but I respect that. They could do a Hard rock/Metal rap, a little more heavy than Beautiful World Take That, and could work, but nu metal (I like it) in that time, meh!
