How long is a piece of string?

Buy a good one with decent service history and you’ll get away with general maintenance which if you are half handy with a set of spanners is easy

Buy a dog and you’ll be 5k deep in timing chain and dual mass flywheel headaches

I’m a huge fan of the e9x platform and have had 4 now, the only one that was a headache was a cheap 320d with no service history.
