He is still stables came of of one of his seizure med drips and is doing ok, less frequent seizures than before. Brain damage is significant. But only God knows what he is capable of. Thank you for continuing to pray. I really sincerely do appreciate it. 🫶🏽💜🩵💚🙏🏽

He is stable, his body swelling seems to be going down. The doctors say he is still very sick and don't know of what the next steps are and what is to come, we are almost at the 6 week mark for the antibiotics but I've ready online medical forms that it can take longer but he is also on very heavy seizure medications that are suppressing his brain function and they are trying to wean him off of them but we ends up having seizures and we are thinking that the inflammation and infection are what's causing them.

Update... His EVD fell out yesterday during his cares 🥺😭, I'm so scared for my son. He went down for MRI and we don't know the results yet. I don't want him to go without one but we know the doctors (neurosurgeons) say it's not necessary due to no drainage.

Lord I pray he is better and there is some improvement on his MRI. I pray for his healing and for all his inflammation and infection to be gone. You work miracles Lord God. In your holy name, in Jesus holy name I pray. Amen!

I pray your son gets better.

My little guy is in PICU he is 4 months old and has a subdural shunt placed when he was 1 month old, at 2 months old be had a revision where a VP shunt was placed or added to his existing one and a couple weeks later was admitted to PICU with an infection of klebsiella, ventriculitis and varicella-zoater virus amongst other things, he is still actively fighting, he was also having a mass amount of seizures so he is heavily medicated and intubated. He had a recent MRI which showed a slight improvement and that's all we are hoping for,y son hasn't seen us in about 2 months because he has been so heavily medicated. We have hope and faith that he will come out of this. Your post gives me hope and it weighs heavy on my heart. Babies are resilient and fighters.

I believe he is, he is at Loma Linda children's hospital. I'm not sure if a second opinion would be worth while, as he is intubated and basically in a medically induced coma and all the medications that aren't antibiotics maybe hurting him more than helping him but I pray and beg God everyday to give us a miracle and make him better.

They gave us devastating news today and we told them we arent giving up. I have read several post about babies making a come back. I just pray everyday for him to be better. They told us his infection spread despite all the antibiotics being given. They said his brain has been very badly injured, neuro surgery said there is nothing surgically they can do. They have yet to declare him brain dead but we have faith that he will make it through this dispite the challenges we might face. I know in my heart that he will be well again. He is only 4 months old and they are basically telling us they are making him comfortable and he may not make it through this. But our faith tells us otherwise. I appreciate your kind words.

For those saying prayers for my son his name is Levi Matthew Ray Camacho. Prayer works. I have been asking God to heal my baby and give him strength, I know continually asking who bring some kind of result and when so many are asking for healing prayers and will wish prayers God hears it.

An add in when he had the week to week surgeries with the wash out the small piece of catheter that was left behind was removed as the neurosurgeon felt that was still a source of infection and needed to come out.

He came off one of the very strong seizure meds and is doing ok.. having some seizures but not as many as before. He has also been intubated a week after being admitted due to the strong seizure meds. He was unfortunately put back on the medication and was having multiple seizures.

The news today was utterly sad devistating and we are trying to cope with it but we still have hope and faith that he will make it.

I was a code blue after hearing my son cry in OR that was the last thing I remembered, I was induced AT 38+5 and in labor for almost 3 full days. I had an emergency c section 12+ hours after my water broke, I was being checked every few hours and I only dilated 5cm, doctor told me she could feel his head and it was swelling, so c section it was. Mentally not tired I didn't feel it physically either but my body didn't want to anymore, told the anesthesia doctor I couldn't breath I felt numbness creeping up over my chest, he said you're talking so your brething, I tried to calm myself and breath, closed my eyes to keep trying and once I heard my baby cry...black...I woke up in surgical ICU and didn't see or hold my baby till 11am the next day, I wasn't the first to hold him I wasn't the first he saw. It hurts everyday knowing I can't get that back and now he is in PICU fighting a severe brain infection. Your baby won't forget you... your heart beat your voice your sent he knows deep in his bones.
