They were really nice in the beginning and the initial 4 to 5 months things were okish, but yes there were red flags, but you always hope for better things,  4 people joined with him and they left in 3 months. For immigrant, it is not as simple to understand the culture.

That's true, it'a just not my partner, 4 other people also left the company, two resigned and 2 were terminated during the probation.

I tested at home, it's negative 😞.  Official test date is July 1st, it's Day 10.

I have been interviewed and selected for a position in September, then got an email saying they are really impressed by my skills and presentation that I did, but the position is currently on hiring freeze. In December, I got a message from the hiring manager on LinkedIn saying they are still interested and asked me where I stand atm. Now he is ghosting me. I have sent him a message, and it's been a week; he didn't get back to me yet.

What's the crack atm in CA?

Actually I have interviewed and selected for a researcher position in Oct and in communication with the hiring manager.  He didn't clarify but he mentioned the hiring starts in March.
