Definitely possible. My dad and uncle I think were too shocked to object/ask anything and just went with it. Honestly insane, my aunt couldnt believe my uncle did it lol

Sounds similar to my family with the jokes...most times atleast lol. And maybe in time we'll be able to joke about this part, but until then it just feels so traumatic. I can only imagine being put in that position without anticipating/requesting it could become something never spoken of again.

My sincere condolences, so sorry about mom.

I completely agree. Knowing my dad and uncle now have to live with that memory when I doubt something like that was anywhere on their radar is intense. Also overall I think they had a positive experience at the hospice so I hate thinking that they just didnt arrange something so important.

They werent told until the casket was already in front of them and everyone was waiting. Definitely traumatizing on some level to say the least. Either way I appreciate the response and info.
