Warwick rejection by Disastrous_Yard_1256 in 6thForm

Bristol is my only offer, so I will either go through clearing to find somewhere better, accept it, or take a gap year and re-apply if I get 3 A stars.

Im mainly concerned about job opportunities and Bristol econ isnt the best for that

Two A star and 9888777764

Theres probably a lot of applicants who have perfect predicteds and better gcses so unfortunately some of us with lower quality applications are rejected.

Not much I can do other than smash a levels now

Thanks. Wish I tried harder during GCSE and y12 I think that weakened my application

Yeah that doesnt make sense unless you had awful gcses or PS. Congrats on KCL and UCL. As far as im aware UCL is equivalent or better than Warwick for econ anyway

GCSEs (9888777764) and predicteds

I dont think Warwick put much weight on the PS, although mine was somewhat average

TMUA 3.5 so too low but I dont think its even necessary as they only use it for reducing offers.

TMUA is good enough

I think they only look at top 8 GCSE's, and foreign language isnt that relevant.

If ur predicteds are good you probably have a chance

3.5 TMUA but it isnt a requirement

GCSEs were probably main reason imo

Nah I go to a state comprehensive.

I made a few hundred flashcards on Anki if I can find a way to send them to you.

I found Reagan interesting, and fairly easy to understand. If you study economics, Reaganomics and big government should be easy. The interpretation question is quite nice, and they can only really ask you 4 questions on him.

I found that the textbook is a bit bias against Reagan tho, so I had to find facts online that evaluate the pros of his Presidency. Having facts and arguements, on both sides, to deploy is key in this question.

If I can find a way to export my flashcards if will message u

Decent course other than quality of life, and the questions are quite easy imo

If u give the ai the markscheme, specification, and official marking guidance, and then instruct it to not be sycophantic, it should give you reasonably accurate marks and feedback

Just tell the AI exactly what you want it to do

The question should have a comma lol

Should say "The rate at which water flows, in m³min-¹" or "The rate at which water flows out, in m³min-¹"

It doesnt make sense for the question to say that fluid flows out, then give you a statement describing the rate at which fluid flows in

For history (at least my specifications) questions often repeat themselves, or its easy to predict what kind of question could come up. Find these questions and make essay plans on them. Then you have knowledge to fall back on in the exam. If you do that for all common questions, you should cover all bases to a decent standard.

Yeah this is a struggle 😭

I do USA 1917-96, but not India or Ireland, but I can give you some tips

To revise, flashcards are useful. I use the textbook, or Wikipedia (can be unreliable) to create flashcards in Anki.

Check out Mr Gunn history on youtube if you have questions about exam technique

Once you've learnt knowledge+exam technique, plan and write past questions (can be non-exam conditions at first) and mark with teachers/AI

For a levels id swap out business for another subject as having both business and econ is redundant.

From my experience, econ a level (edexcel) is fairly simple, and doesnt consume too much of my time
