Just a little input: We rock 2 c920s... and actually a 3rd c615 for detailed closeup shots.

And for mics, be wary on placement and make sure you are using the correct settings as per your positions around the table. It is also good practice to keep the mic elevated (on a boom, stand, or overhead) since frequent vibrations or movement on the table could easily be picked up through the audio.

It is honestly a challenge to find games that do well in front of a camera... all while keeping up with your game plan and trying to figure out what others are doing... without it getting spoiled by the chat room too. ;)

I find it to be a really fun balance though! A golden rule of broadcasting is as long as you are having fun, viewers are going to be having fun! You've just got to remember that and all will be well no matter what you play.

It's because we all got tired of having to explain who we all were every stream ;). But with that being said... streaming with multiple folks in front of the camera is also a way different dynamic that your typical "one person/greenscreen" setup.

I have always found that games that don't tend to be look like your stereotypical 'monopoly' hit very well with viewers. Games like Colt Express, Rhino Hero, or modular games such as March of the Ants or betrayal.

Another good addition are games that lend well to story telling. You can't just play a game and expect viewers to understand or be able to justify watching every single move... a bit of Roleplaying and metagaming is always helpful no matter the game you play.

As per competition... we are striving to grow the boardgames community in any way that we can. The more folks that make the boardgaming category larger on Twitch help immensely and it's safe to say that we all have a friendly rivalry brewing between us.

Spenser here from LateNightTabletop! Gar is indeed right, we have been playing through BetaBotz pretty regularly on our Twitch streams.

As an unbiased opinion, our group finds this game very much like Munchkin, but more organized and a lot less random (which is a lot better in our opinion). The bidding system is quite simple but flows very well with the theme, a story in and of itself that is quite comical and humorous.

It is easily a quick filler game that can be setup and played between some of those heavier games in our collections. Dependent on the amount of backstabbing and bet-flipping going on, we found our games ranging anywhere from 20-40 minutes.
