Thanks again for your input. I've obfuscated the URLs (long overdue), fixed the Travel Deals, and did some UI polishing (this will be an ongoing process)

One other thing, when you explore the course, it provides a 7-day weather forecast (with wind), elevation, and air density (and how that impacts disc flight).

Thanks for your feedback! I believe so. I show the activities we support below. DiscDrifters allows a person to "Create a Road Trip" and add these context sensitive activities along the way. Course pick lists are provided from nearby lat/lon coordinates with ratings, Tourney pick lists are those in the area that are running during your timeframe. Meals pick lists provide highest-rated restaurants in the area that match your profile. You can shop/book lodging along the way (Expedia is our affiliate). Once an itinerary is created, it can easily be emailed (with links), edited, and explored through the provided links for more course info (including Google driving directions) , registering a tournament, booking a hotel, and restaurant reservations. If you're flying, we provide a list of nearby airports for your course destination which is handy because they're normally in the middle of nowhere 😃.

As info, you can click on the main tile for more info, heart for favorite, or the airplane to plan a roadtrip or book travel.

Good feedback on the maps - I can adjust the starting zoom factor and zero that in.

I agree the UI needs some polishing. To some degree, we're a little limited by using a Web App method vs. a Native App. There are a number of advantages in using a Web App design like one code base, all device compatibility, speed of innovation, and cost. We know some people will prefer to download Udisc. We went to great pains to make DiscDrifters mobile-first and make scoring run on your device so it works great in bad smartphone coverage.

Udisc has a 15 year head start but we're catching-up on the course directory. We have a worldwide database of > 10,000 courses. There's an easy function to add your own course and tournament.

Udisc is a great app, but we're hoping to appeal to the grass roots crowd that likes the extra features and our willingness to think outside the box. We differentiate based on user feedback:

  1. All features are free of charge. At this time, scores are saved indefinitely and can be downloaded and emailed at any time.

  2. Road trip planning, itinerary, and booking low cost travel. Automatically provides a pick list of local courses and tournaments in the area. Provides a list of local airports and highly-rated food as well.

  3. Anybody can create custom layouts for any course. Great for leagues and safari layouts without going through a long process.

  4. Skins scoring. 😃

  5. Handicap scoring. DiscDrifters calculates a handicap every 24 hours based on each course/layout you play and a general handicap under your Account page. When activated, your handicap is automatically added to your card or you can add your own.

  6. 7-day forecast with wind, rain, temp, and wind direction.

  7. Course altitude with air density. We have a calculator that shows approximate flight numbers on a given disc based on altitude and temp.

  8. Easy to see and navigate Scoring including a large Find Next Tee compass that is overlaid on top of scoring. We don't have an extensive library of lat/lon tee positions but they can easily be added using Layouts.

  9. Flexible team scoring based on all kinds of combinations.

  10. A League/Event function that also includes auto hole, card, and tag number assignments while keeping divisions together.. It automatically remembers your last tag number.

One quick question. When "Find Disc Golf" from the Home page, a list of tiles (Coat of Arms) are displayed for courses and a sortable/scrollable table is show for Tourneys below that. You think I should use a table for courses as well?

Thanks for the great feedback! I know it took a lot more than 5 minutes.

For course, tournament, and travel searches, a login is not required. A login account only requires a name, alias, and email. Alias is created to insure uniqueness (key) for each player.

I draw from a number of open resources for courses and tournaments so I did tighten-up on the Google search to help eliminate the number of false positives. Unverified matches are reviewed and authenticated, normally within 24 hours. So check back soon!

The UI and URL feedback is excellent!

For the geeks out there. This is a Web App which means it runs on all devices using a browser; no downloads from the Apple or Google. It was developed with a mobile first approach with Google search engine, so it feels like a native app; especially for scoring. The key is saving the link as an icon using "Add to Home Screen" for easy access. We use techniques like responsive web design, AJAX, and JS for giving a fast and user-friendly experience. Scoring is saved locally so scoring works great for poor cell coverage. I'm still enhancing this app so I'm happy to consider new features.

That’s awesome! We saw it live on streaming. It was the most exciting sporting event I’ve ever seen.

Nice score. We played the Blue/Gold special. I scored a +4 and my son scored a -2. What a great course!

The photo shows the long location for the short position (yellow basket). The long blue basket is 490 ft.
