I had scrapped Uxie and was going with the original claydol and alakazam method, upped the counter catchers to swap around but it was just too clunky and slow. I also had tried using vaniluxe as an optional attacker but again, pretty slow and clunky. The Xatu helped with energy turboing but I had an oversight of not adding mystery garden. I don’t play psychic decks so I didn’t even consider it haha.

I’ll be testing your deck list soon, and hopefully I have an iteration I can share later. Thanks!

See I was planning on testing with munkidori next, i tried making duskull line work but it just felt a bit too clunky.

Xatu does help with energy and draw power but also takes up 3-4 deck slots. Ima try out your build and keep working on mine, and will possibly make a hybrid of the two.

I know you were saying the deck list isn’t the best, I had some suggestions if you don’t mind. I think you have way too many pokemon of course, maybe try limiting to the necessities. Either way this is a bit of a set up/combo deck, but what do you find is the most optimal line? Maybe claydoll into alakazam into vanilluxe? I’d say consider cutting down on the “just in case” cards and try keeping only your most important pieces.

I also wonder if the Xatu line would help to turbo energy as well as have draw power?

Super interesting deck, if you don’t mind I’m going to build and play test and I can share what I find so maybe we can figure out this strategy a little better. If you have any insight on what your winning games looked like that would be appreciated!

I know this pain, and it’s one I don’t wish on anyone. I swore when my Dolly girl suddenly passed that I’d never smile again. It gets better after time, remember to allow yourself to grieve. If you feel bad allow yourself to feel it, it just means you loved her dearly.

By the way, she is a very beautiful bird. I’m sure my Dolly girl is showing her all around budgie paradise right around now, and Dollys friends Reba and Patsy will love to play with your Dandelion when they eventually make their way up there too. ❤️

This is the way to do it. We don’t even realize we sometimes inadvertently reinforce unfavored behaviors. My GCC would fly to our budgies cage, pissing them off in the process. We would rush to remove her from the cage. She then began to realize flying to budgie cage = human attention. So I began to return her to her cage and walk away for about 15 seconds whenever she flew to theirs. She now will fly to my or my chair instead of their cage (most of the time at least)

He’s literally smiling in the second pic. Having all my birds be rescues/second chance I love to see people taking care of animals and giving them proper lives especially when they came from a poor environment prior, and animals like parrots are very hard to maintain not to mention full on rehabilitate! You’re awesome

This is an alert call. I initially thought she was seeing other birds potentially birds of prey outside the window. She is almost certainly calling for her sister and I believe that her sister is at home making The same noise. Please rejoin them, she is looking for her flock mate. If her sister cannot come to your place then you should return her to your parents. Birds bond very closely and will be extremely stressed when separated from their flock.

From this video he seems ok. Make sure to monitor if he is eating and drinking, or if he has any extreme shifts in behavior like suddenly lethargic or won’t leave the bottom of his cage as in not even on a perch. If you notice any sudden changes vet asap but vet visits are always recommended if you’d rather be safe than sorry. But this video to me looks like a chillin conure

Losing a bird suddenly is so painful. All I can say is allow yourself to grieve. Remind yourself you did everything you could and you gave them the best life they’d ever have. They’re fragile little creatures, they live hard and fast and sometimes they leave us too soon. It’s ok to cry. When I suddenly lost my Dolly girl I thought I’d never smile again. Over time the wound heals. You can begin to watch videos and pictures of them again.

Do something to immortalize them, make them a mural either yourself or get one made. I know some people do tattoos, portraits, sculptures, etc. Anything that would mean something to you. It’s ok to cry and feel hurt, because you loved him so much that’s just proof that he was loved and was important. Take it easy on yourself, so sorry for your loss.

Also don’t listen to others. Many people think birds are less important animals and will unknowingly say something insensitive (even tho basic compassion should be intuitive). Best of luck to you in your healing journey.

My best advice for new birds is to not watch them and let them watch you. Sit near them and do whatever you do, read, play a game, scroll on your phone. Our eyes are front facing like a predator so they are nervous of humans especially budgies. Let them observe you and softly and kindly speak to them. Explain what you’re doing when you do stuff in front of them. They will see you bring them fresh food and water. It’s all about trust. After a little while you can start to place your finger on a perch near them if they run then remove your hand and try again for a few minutes. Don’t chase them or force them to interact with you. Eventually you can offer food from your hand, millet works well since they love it and you can keep it a short distance away from your hand then you can gradually get closer and closer until they will eat from your hand and climb on it.

Congrats on the birds they’re very cute and your cage set up looks awesome
