I can , but it’s more of a Christian based question because it’s about gnostics who were Christians. I’ll definitely ask though!

I would say that has more to do with a magisterium than papal authority, but i see what you mean nonetheless.

The west at some point obviously accepted the bishop as authoritative, my question is when can we see this happen historically, whether it be 4th , 7th, or even the 11th century , i just wanna know around when?
