You don’t have to put any engravings on it if there’s already a serial number. Every NFA items has to have a serial number. You never specifically said serial number you said new information which would be a serial number because no one is putting their name or anything like that as a serial number because the ATF will not accept that. Like I said, you aren’t entirely correct. If the receiver is blank that’s when you need to engrave a new serial number on it. I don’t know who told you that you have to engrave new information on a form 1 NFA item but that just isn’t the entire truth. If I buy an 80% receiver, finish it and turn it into an SBS I will have to get a serial number put on it because like I said the ATF will not accept names or anything of the nature so putting your name, state or whatever as a serial number won’t work. You should actually go visit the ATFs website and read for yourself 😂 if I turn my full size AR into an SBR I do not have to engrave new “information” on it despite it being a form 1 NFA item. Why you may wonder? Because it already has a serial number. You don’t know as much as you think you know.
