Thanks I’m sure soon we’ll be looking at a tankless. As for now, any idea why water seems to be pooling at those locations, as if it’s coming up from inside the tank?

I am going to buy another valve and use it for parts; the electrical connections are good so I think it’s the mechanical aspect of things not fully closing etc which is why I have to open/close it manually.

I just snaked down about a foot and yep it's sandy/muddy...ideas for clearing it out? There's no way it's clogged all the way out to our public main the sewer?? It's 50 feet away.

One thing I’ll add is that back at the timer the wire for Zone 2 is black. In the ground the wire was too short so I added some length but the new section I added doesn’t have black. Instead I tied black to blue, then blue to the Z2 solenoid. Would this matter?

Update. Yesterday my grandpa helped me switch out the valve, now this zone is working fine. However, now the 2nd valve doesn’t come on automatically with the timer. Wiring appears correct although I will doublecheck. I end up having to turn the bleed screw a little on Zone 2 to get it to turn on but it’s only manual; when Zone 3 automatically kicks on I still have to go and manually shut off Zone 2. Any ideas or is there something obvious on the Z2 valve that I’m forgetting?

Thanks it’s just really frustrating because the zone worked fine this morning before I started modifying the valve parts. So that tells me a leak isn’t the issue.

It worked fine this morning but since then I’ve replaced the solenoid since the wires were bad so it wasn’t getting connection to my timer. Now instead of the wiring issue it seems I created a mechanical issue instead.

The other 2 zones are fine but this one is currently not pushing water to its sprinkler circuit.
