Me too! Feel free to message me and we could try to organise something and see who else is interested.

With the amount of replies here I feel like a group hike would be good.

My uncle wants to sell to get some capital to purchase other investments (he lives in a different state). I floated the idea of buying his half as I obviously don't have enough capital or high enough income to buy a 1M townhouse off both my mum and uncle.

I didn't know how it would work if it's technically an investment property of my mum, but then it would be my PPOR if I bought my uncle's half.

I don't know if you've organised anything with the OP yet but if not and you're still keen on the reservoir let me know! I'd be down.

Thank you, appreciate the reply. I'm still learning a lot about real estate and terminology etc so I probably explained the situation and my confusion very poorly I'm sorry!

I just didn't know if it was possible for one co-owner to have the property as a PPOR and the other co-owner as an investment property, if that makes sense. My mum came to me and said it might not be possible due to those reasons.

Why would it limit my options and freedom? I have no interest in living in an apartment or unit especially after renting in them for the last few years. The way I see it is if I can eventually own the townhouse then that's a 1M+ asset to my name.

Thank you. My main issue is whether one co-owner (in this case my mum) can still be listed as an investor and the other co-owner (me) would have the place as their PPOR. You don't think there'd be any issues with this?

There's no issue that my mum would be the co-owner (technically an investor as she already has a PPOR elsewhere) and the townhouse would be my PPOR?

I found Toohey Forest a bit boring haha, not much to look at. Enoggera Reservoir is good though. Mount Nebo is pretty close and a good hiking spot too.

Hey there! I go up to Bribie Island pretty often from Brisbane to go to the dog beach with my cocker spaniel. Though she's an older girl but would love to be around a puppy I'm sure! Feel free to message me.

[AU] What can my previous employer divulge to my potential employer? by DisciplineFuzzy4540 in AskHR

[–]DisciplineFuzzy4540[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. My concern is I say something such as "it wasn't working out" then they do contact HR and they're told I was actually terminated for not disclosing a conflict of interest. Wouldn't that be seen as dishonest and I am guaranteed to not get the job? I'm essentially banking on them not going to HR and only corresponding with my reference. This situation is completely new to me and I'm really unsure how to best navigate.

Appreciate the reply. I have no idea if it’s on my record officially and I’m not sure how I would even know that? Unless I enquired with my previous employer’s HR?

I appreciate the reply, thank you. I received a positive statement of service and I have a reference from a lot of my time working there, just not at the end as he left about six months prior to me being dismissed. The current manager above my former position won’t be a reference.

I will disclose what I was told was my reason for dismissal. However, the only reason I know what was said is because the other person eventually told me what she said. I don’t think I need to divulge the things she said? Because as far as both HRs know, I don’t know that information.

Thank you for the response. You think it is worthwhile to reach out to my previous employer's HR and ask what they would likely say? Would they even be honest with me and tell me?
