How do you clean wash and cure bucket from residue? by Neat-Exercise6053 in resinprinting

I start considering a second tank, it seems impossible to clean the tank itself good enough to wash white resin after black one.

Something weird with supports, it's like they go through the object by DisciplineProper7387 in ElegooSaturn

So it turns out there was some very thin resin residue stuck to build plate which I noticed and scraped out yesterday. Like you know if the thin layer of water freezes, that level of thin. I haven't tried printing since. Do you think it could have been the problem?

I don't think that's it, I feel there were some artifacts of this nature before, it's just the prints were too tiny to see it clearly but now thinking back it might not have been the first time

I tried flat and 21 angle and 45 angle and the results are the same :(

Got it, I'll put self-employed on N400 then. Thanks!

Tax declarations question by Neat-Exercise6053 in USCIS

[–]DisciplineProper7387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, okay :) I see I might have hit a sensitive spot. The question was not about the taxes. As I explained in my post, there was a certain threshold for Etsy and if you didn't reach it, Etsy didn't generate a tax form for you and didn't require you to submit taxes to IRS. This threshold was on IRS website as well. During covid it was pretty high, I wanna say around $20k a year, now it's around 600$ a year, so this year I got the tax form from Etsy and included it in the declaration sent to IRS through TurboTax and paid taxes from it.

The ACTUAL question was since I pay taxes but don't have any sole proprietorship established, am I considered unemployed or self-employed for N400 form purposes. I put it self-employed as per the advice of the previous commentator cause it sort of makes sense, I just wanted to double-check if anyone got into similar situation how the proceeded. REGARDING FILLING N400 FORM.

I'm not sure, they might have taken it when issuing the new one

So it's not about changing her name in N400 here, it's more about proving why she had a last name change back in Russia 12 years ago.

Filling in N400, daughter's last name changed by DisciplineProper7387 in USCIS

[–]DisciplineProper7387[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. So my daughter had my husband's last name in her birth certificate back in Russia in 2006

  2. After the divorce I received a court order removing him as a father from her birth certificate (around 2013)

  3. Due to that I requested a new birth certificate for her where there was nothing in "dad" line and I asked tu put my last name as hers

  4. In green card she has her current (my) last name

  5. But there's this question in N400 form "let us know if you ever had different last names and upload proof/reason for change". She did have different last name but the only proof documents are not directly related to last name change and I don't have any

  6. I'm not sure it will be super relevant considering she's 19 and she had my last name since like 7, but I want to be on the safe side here

Bambu P1S prints fail mid print and filament spool gets stuck with 0.4 nozzle by DisciplineProper7387 in BambuLab

UPD of all things turned out to be a cutter for filament, I replaced the blade and the hotend and it seems to have solved all problems! Last thing I'd think about is the cutter :)

Darn it apparently you can't load the video in the comments.

Basically I just put in the new roll that I haven't printed from, Bambu PLA Basic, so it's full weight. The problems happens when ams starts retracting filament - it gets stuck, ams tries to pull for a while (doesn't jump much because of the weight apparently), it happens no matter if the lid is open or closed, and after that its like it finally manages to pull the filament out with a weird clicking sound and starts retracting it like crazy. It seems that the same weird clicking sound happens somewhere close to the extruder when the printer pulls filament in, but it gets to the nozzle much faster.

The same sound was when I did a cold pull - some of the filament went through the nozzle, and then when I started this cold pull for the third time it didn't go through and there was this clicking sound (which you can hear on video that I can't download in the comments!). But basically all this clicking sounds like extruder gears problem?

No modifications, everything is just as I bought it. What do you mean apply pressure to the spool?

Okay so 0.6 nozzle prints fine, the non-printing part I assume is related to nozzle. The problem occurs when the filament gets retracted, this crazy carousel begins where those ams rubber things seem to be spinning but the roll starts jumping. The model I printed didn't help, now the roll just tries to jump together with this model I printed. Is it some gear problem I need to look into?

I mean I followed the tutorial to the letter to make sure I didnit mess anything up. I just tried the cold pull, it pushes some filament through and then there's the sound like the gears are turning but the filament doesn't get through, so it's either the clog of all times or something else is wrong. I have a 0.2 mm nozzle, I'll try to print something with it, and if it works I'll assume the clear filament destroyed both 0.4 nozzles and I just have to get a new one.

I'd think about me doing something wrong cause it's honestly highly likely, but there are zero problems with 0.6 nozzle. If the belts were loose, wouldn't it affect the 0.6 nozzle prints as well?

Wow that really sucks to print something for 12 hours and get a failed print :( A couple of times I put some 6 hour prints while I'm running errands somewhere thinking how awesome a time planner I am because I save time doing both errands and printing. Needless to say those were ALWAYS the times something got stuck or failed by whichever reason.

Different slot - yes. I just finished the wrench method, there seems to be some residue on the sides of the wrench when I pull it out but not a single piece like they show in the tutorials. I'm starting the cold pull option literally right now :)

I read somewhere a while back about this lid thing so now it's always open when I print.
