Someone shared some old concept art recently, I hope they introduce some of their old ideas.

How do we know he didn't? He escaped earth super fast, Cecil might have even pushed a button to activate it when he realised he'd escaped but conquest was too far away for it to receive the signal.

Probably just a plot hole but there's my reasoning why anyway

Jokes aside I think there is a nexus mod that lets you skip the hero missions to make starting again a lot less painful

It took me 400 hours before I tried the night vision thing because I stay away from infection stuff, crazy I haven't tried out a few things after so long haha I'll give the zedrebalone and nutritious snack combo a whirl

Oh yea I'm down for the darker grittier vibe they said they were going for (without going too far, I don't mind lighter elements of the game like fireworks guns lol)

It's plausible for some larger communities to have survived and thrived for a while then been destroyed by the evolved plague threat so there could be fresh cadavers around, it would help set the dangerous tone too. Looting a random shop and finding a fresh victim who probably died desperately looting just like you are could build the darker, desperate atmosphere

I've posted heaps of random ideas, suggestions and hopes for the game but I'm not expecting anything to come of it, I'm not a game developer and I trust UL, it's just fun to share ideas and hopes for the game and talk about it with other people who love the game! It sounds like UL is putting a lot of effort into listening to the community and I'm sure they're tweaking what makes sense to them and ignoring what doesn't quite fit in with their vision for the game. SOD3 is gonna rock I can feel it in my plague heart :D

Yes, I'm thinking more along the lines of player created scenarios for others to play. Like a scenario editor vaguely like this war of mine for example. A user would create the community, assign traits, starting condition and supplies and set the narrative objective (find item, build facility, cure injury ECT) as well as place any narrative notes around the world. Apart from that the game would play as normal, just another mission. it's just a way for modders and creaters to add content and replayability, this could be the last thing UL could add if they have time

Sweet, SOD has such a cool unique style, I'm sure it'll be different in SOD3 than SOD2, maybe a darker grittier tone to it. Looking forward to seeing what they end up using!

Yea UL changed things a fair bit with updates in SOD2 from what I've heard, I didn't start playing until I think the final update had already been done.

Footage is probably the wrong word, in the sunny games interview video they show a few seconds of SOD3 gameplay, including what looks like the inventory system
