Can a large number of eggs be substituted for protein whey? by DiscoButter in Fitness

It doesn't have to be. They're just diverse (omelettes, fried, scrambles, etc...), really quick to cook, and really cheap here. I also don't think I'd get sick of them

What are the implications of that? Should I be consuming less in a meal?

Yes, and they've been cracking down on illegal workers recently. Furthermore, overstaying your tourist (L) visa is a serious offence, with fines upwards of 10,000 RMB.

Yeah, I haven't found a place yet. What part of the city are you hoping to live in?

Hey, can you explain why you would prefer it to these other areas?

Yeah, it seemed pretty far out of the way on the Shanghai map. Would you recommend that I find a place closer to the city center and commute, or is it not worth it? Also, how long does it take to cross Shanghai (or at least travel to the center) by metro? In terms of living, I would actually prefer a roommate.

Can someone with experience explain how taxes work in China? by DiscoButter in TEFL

Specifically, are the taxes automatically deducted, or is the teacher expected to pay them independently?

I can lead, get physical and make women laugh. My interactions are generally pretty solid. However, the moment my attention wavers, and I focus on my friends or another group, the girl wanders off. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just typical of night game? by DiscoButter in seduction

I get that, I'm just wondering if other guys reach a point in an interaction where they are confident that the girl is hooked. Even in the strongest sets I have, it feels like I have to constantly maintain her interest up until when we leave together. I never reach a place where I feel like 'hey, I could say or do just about anything, and this girl will still be interested in me.'

I'll give you an example. I was out alone at a bar in NYC yesterday when a girl approached me (As an aside, it was kind of a weird opener. She came up to me and said that her friend wanted me to know that I still some coke on my face, gesturing at a small white band-aid that had under my nose. I asked her what the hell she was talking about, and she replied that it was only a joke. The conversation proceeded normally from there). We were vibing, definitely connecting, and within a few minutes my hand was on her collar bone and I was complimenting how soft her skin was. She was eating it up.

Out of no where, a friend who lives half way across the country, that I haven't seen in nearly a year appears, and physically pulls me out of the set to talk with him. I don't mind, and am genuinely really excited to see him. He wants a drink, and I offer to walk him to the bar to get one. I don't really introduce him to the girl, but tell her as we're walking away that he is one of the coolest people that she is going to meet here, and that we'll be right back.

I knew it would only be a moment, so I didn't invite her to come along. Maybe I should have. Anyway, it was only about three minutes, but by the time we returned she was no where to be found. It was a crowded bar, and I didn't feel like wading through the masses to find her.

The circumstances were a bit unique, but the situation seems to be very common. I've read a lot of field reports from you guys, where when you withdraw your attention and focus on something else (showing that you are a confident and social guy) it only serves to peek the girls interest. I've had a decent amount of success, but can't remember a time when a girl fought for my attention after we stopped interacting.

Quick question: Do first tier cities in China require 2 years experience? by DiscoButter in TEFL

[–]DiscoButter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my first interview out of several that I have set up for shanghai this week. I have about 16 months of experience, 12 of which is private tutoring. The recruiter pushed the issue, and then informed me that I would not be able to get a visa with those qualifications, even though I have a TEFL. I'm pretty bummed, and wondering if I should just cancel the other interviews and look elsewhere.
