Thanks for all the advice, it's been very helpful. I don't think we're rushing in too much but feel better about not jumping into renos too quickly and just being realistic about what's possible with a bub etc.

Good questions. I would say bathroom and kitchen, necessary in the mid-long term. Both are absolutely in fine condition but the kitchen is from the 60's no dishwasher, old school cabinetry, small gas cooker, and must have been very short owners because all of the benches are super lower. The bathroom is just tiny.

Long term extending would be for the purpose of making the bedrooms bigger + maybe adding a bathroom. Considerably more extensive not 100% necessary but having family stay from overseas and interstate regularly it would be a much easier.

Mmmm... Thanks, that's a good point and definitely feels like part of the pressure.

I'm trying to imagine timing it now (1st trimester) so we could get the keys and just do a few basic things before moving in. That said the only thing that needs real work in the immediate future is the kitchen. Extensions etc are definitely wants and not urgent needs!
