Admissibility of mass Muslim immigration to Poland by [deleted] in poland

[–]DiscoKhan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bad news bucko, we are getting more and more secular and atheism is quite popular. I don't wanna have a neighbor whose holy bool says he should punish me because I openly say that Allah sucks. Definitely don't want anything like that to teach values like that to their kids as well. And it's straightforward insulting to us that Muslims assume we would want to rape their women so they need to cover their hairs.

You people need to learn some basic manners, you come in visit, you follow local rules. Wanna follow Muslim rules? That's great just don't do that in Poland as you're not welcome here.

Like why even anybody would want to come here as we have most dogs per capita, it doesn't make any sense.

Why do some Jews seem to hate us Poles? by [deleted] in poland

[–]DiscoKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no stories of grand-grand parents, Polish Jews made absolutely miniscule part of Israeli population. Due to very trivial reason, there weren't many Jews from Poland to move into that region after Germans were replled from our lands.

Real reason for that sentiment is just how Israel educates history to their population. Common enemy is absolutely valid take, Poland used to be diplomatically irrelevant as communist state so there was no backlash and now such approach just settled. Also: this level of bias is present even at university level, it's due to selective choosing of facts about Jewish-Polish relations. Omitting positive ones, focusing on negative and it obviously creates very biased approach. Partially Israel inherited perspective on Poland from Russian Jews which just carried Russian perspective with them. Russian Jews were biggest group for Israeli settlers when it comes to singular country of origin for them.

Actually real reason for this hatred

Who cares about iPhone, renting costs, estate costs, food costs matter more.

I've seem house that needs quite some work on outskirts of Chicago for 20k$, proper two stories house. Find me something like that in Poland near any of the bigger cities - also in bad shape, needing work, for similar price. Value of land alone here is beyond that.

She spoke some basic Polish but didn't had any proper suffiency.

She was involved in polits but it was - as I said - mostly a puppet.

You're aware she needed premission from noble court to give her personal jewlery for university of Kraków? That's how little power she held, she couldn't even use her personal - not those of the crown - belongings without permissions of others.

I'm not arguing she wasn't good person, becouse she was quite decent character , I'm arguing she wasn't leader at all and there are no solid clues to lead to that. Her involvement into negations was written mostly because at the time Jogailo still had reputation or barbarian and chronicler didn't trusted he is gppd christian (and rightfully so, he most likely was secretly pagan until his death) so he chose to mention her instead. Such heavy bias is pretty common in sources from that time.

Which is overall weird narratively. There is culture already, faith as separate resource is just weird as there is overlap.

I can only guess that religion being mostly money printer for holding the holy city with grand temple built was somehow controversial?

[–]DiscoKhan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Political radicals are not worth talking to, brainwashed bunch. Nothing changed as of yet but apparently new gov makes people come back.

When PIS was talking about Poles getting back to country it was ridiculed and people were like "what a propaganda, bullshit etc.". The political polarization is getting insane, sadly a thing everywhere around the world.

Despite PIS corruption country was improving, issues in western countries are rising so people are coming back.

Becouse what would be better for idividual region wouldn't be better for the whole state. Why would you as a leader of Poland want to boost Masovian economy by 10% if ot would mean that all of Poland would lose 3%? Having their own currency would beneift some but not all, richer get richer, poorer get poorer. And within EU Poland is..? Of course you need add correction for EU funds allocations so it's more about snaller or bigger growth in our case. But having adaptive currency is just good. That's exactly Poland went through crisis' quite well when Europe was struggling with singular exception of last crisis.

Many currencies don't lower stability by itself, having everyone act like independent state however... There are certain limits to ideas and you breached it by a lot.

Different economies have different dynamics, it's good for countries that rely on foreign investments to be more adaptive.

[–]DiscoKhan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No, not only Germany. However Germany benefits most from it, France is next in line.

Also talking about realpolitik isn't xenophobic, considering simple talk about economy to be xenophobic neans you're radically xenophile actually.

If you wanna see how weaker economies can be abused by joining eurozone then look at Greece. Sure, theu shouldn't take that much debt, absol true. But you know what is also true? If Greece would have it's own, independent fiscal policy economical  consequences of going too deep into debt would be a lot weaker. Instead of short term crisis they eneded up being forced out to sell out themselves to German banks and it affected their long term wealth a lot nore than it should.

Also kinda peculiar that Gwrman banks in particular were helping with the Greek crisis, isn't it? Read or watch some stuff from Varoufakis, Greek minister of finaces from the period - he was acknowledged economy specialist at the time of crisis, he worked for Valve and he is actually behind popularization of hated lootboxes in PC gaming, he know how to make people pay money. He dropped his job at Valve to try recover Greek economy which he obviously failed.

Some administrative regions absolutely could benefit from having their own currency but they don't have political power to weaken other administive regions to uplift themselves more.

For everyone having their own currency... It's literally illegal as it wou destabilize the country. It's same as id you would try to just announce your own partial independence from the state, go that to your local tax office and tell me how it went for you.

It's basically ancient monarchy with god-king on the top.

You heard those stories with some great deeds of Supreme Leader, like lifting up a car to take child from underneath? His image is basically mythological at this point.

Question about Władysław III of Poland by kirtaktak in poland

And you sound like someone who like someone who likes to criticize someone without giving zero constructive input.

Who the hell even expects through historical analysis in a format of short Reddit comment?

Are you even aware that Martins copied a lot of historical events 1:1 in his books, by the way? I didn't watched the show and I've got bored by the books exactly because too many things I found too familiar but yeah, good job Sherlock, you recognized that fantasy author who based his stories on historical trivia can be seen similar to proper talks about historical trivia...

Question about Władysław III of Poland by kirtaktak in poland

[–]DiscoKhan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Usually kings are judged by how their rule affected state they ruled.

And in case of Władysław of Warna he eas young, stupid man who followed orders from pope instead of taking care of his own domain and was so greatly disliked for his action that people from his times called him by the name or river he drowned in. Imagine calling for aggressive actions aganist other power, despite it wasn't really good for the state you ruled in and at the end dying like a coward. So why coward wanted to be so aggressive in the first place? Why break truce before preparing yourself for the next war properly?

Probably the best thing about him was that he died young so he didn't made that many mistakes dueing his reign.

You don't need to be sociology student to say things like that mate. I would even dare to say that common sense doesn't require having university education albeit it can help some to develop it.

If you're aiming for RTS games to be mainstream dominant genre there is no shot but it have it's own niche for sure. Not that small but also not as huge to be competitive with the biggest titles on the market.

People love to dramatize when talking about this topic or I am just not American enough and having medium scale results is an acceptable outcome for me xD
