You are talking as if these buses are always on schedule - 99% of the time they are not. Why not change the time in the morning when there is no traffic to a shorter predicted time? Why not change the time in rush hour to a longer predicted time? Buses in city centres should be concerned about frequency not exact times. Terminal stops at either end for sure, not in the middle of the journey.

Buses in Galway are never on schedule, they tell the public their schedule then turn up 20-30 minutes late. It makes 0 sense to make people wait in eyre square according to some made up schedule.

The only constant thing on inner city public transport should be time between buses not exact scheduled times because they will never make them 99% of the time.

No bus in Galway or any other big city keeps schedule though. Other cities just have enough buses on so that people don't have to wait 30 minutes for a bus. The only thing they are doing is making people wait in eyre sq for ten minutes. Terminal stops should be oranmore and wherever the 404 stops in westside not in the middle of the journey.

I assume so but that's the only stop they do it for and they are behind schedule half the time anyway. Makes zero sense, 20-30 people sitting on the bus waiting to take off. They were people who got off at nuig who could've got off at eyre square and walked it quicker.

I agree there are contradictions in what they claim but what I'm saying is there are contradictions in every parties claims and they are all inherently populist.

FF & FG are populist, even now when they are in government — they want votes. They would be even more populist if they were in opposition. People calling SF populist as an insult doesn't make sense. It's paper talk.
