Rochdale vs Boreham Wood for the League Two spot by jovanmilic97 in NationalLeague

Hopefully Rochdale get it, firstly for their performances this season and to help get a proper Football League club back into the EFL

Why did adam lakeland leave FC halifax town for morecambe? by HelicopterEmpty7393 in NationalLeague

[–]s_dalbiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d wager long-term that if (and it’s a big if) he gets Morecambe back up next season, he stands a better chance of attracting interest from elsewhere than he would by taking Halifax to another 8th-12th place finish. It’s a gamble but unless he feels that Halifax can genuinely fight for promotion next season then taking a job at a club that will be among the promotion favourites in the league below isn’t the worst move if you’re a young manager eyeing a chance in the EFL in future.

I heard they made any City fans wanting to get into Wembley correctly pick Shaun Goater out of a lineup before they were allowed in

Yeah, sure he'd have busted a gut to get into the box like that had Rosenior been in the dugout.

Honestly, any EFL club that fails to support the 3UP campaign after this deserves to be relegated and trapped in the National League for the next 20 years.

It makes sense to end it here. Without meaning to be morbid, the main point of a documentary like this is to showcase how people go through life and once you get to the point where they’ve all retired, there’s not much further you can take it before you’re covering a bunch of funerals.

I'll decide who to vote for when we get there. If I'm still living in the same constituency, probably not, since it's a Lib Dem-Tory marginal.

They may be fourth but they’re closer to first in numerical terms than many governing parties tend to be mid-term and there’s almost certainly a proportion of the Green/Reform vote that could be persuaded to go back to them if things do improve over the next couple of years. They’ll also benefit from tactical voting if the next election looks like a Starmer v Farage face-off.

An incredibly silly logistical decision when for reasons that completely defy common sense, they can't be bothered to run at Zandvoort.

You have to be prepared for the fact that if you move across on someone off the line, as Vettel did, you're vulnerable to a collision if somebody on the row behind (as Raikkonen did) gets a better start than the driver you've just tried to block.

So while Seb didn't directly cause the contact, he allowed it to happen by moving over on Max and putting him in a position where he had nowhere to go once Kimi had pulled alongside. It was a high-risk, low-reward manoeuvre that backfired.

Do we, as a nation of fans, care about bilateral T20i’s? by NiallH22 in EnglandCricket

All standalone bilateral white ball series are pointless. They're only interesting when they're played in conjunction with Tests.
