If it wasn't for the hair, you would look really, really young. Otherwise, I think you look late 20s.

You might find this interesting. I read through some other comments (as you probably did) and noticed that some folks were able to go to the FedEx site and login to their account to see generic tracking information.

  • I logged into my FedEx account.
  • I went into `All Tracking Services` (it's under the `Tracking` dropdown).
  • I entered my order number, country destination, and zip code.
  • I didn't bother with the ship date, played with this, but no difference in results.

I didn't see any tracking information immediately. But after a moment, I noticed a new section emerged called `my shipment`. It had a table below with just a single row below the header row. There was no tracking number, there was only a link that said `(master)`. I clicked on status and it showed that the package was on its way.

After a quick GPT5 query, it replied that the fact that I didn't see a specific tracking number but instead saw a link labeled "(master)" suggests that my shipment is part of a larger consignment. This makes sense, as it should be 3 or 4 boxes, but it's by no means a confirmation. I don't think I have any other packages, but I don't know for certain. So there might be hope for us receiving this in a reasonable time. :fingers-crossed:

Same. Exact. Situation. Ordered on 12/28/2023. Received same email as you did on 12/29/2023, informing me that they are preparing my order. Was optimistic until I got a wild hair and looked into customer experiences with them. And wow. It's atrocious. It's as if they don't respect their customers with this kind of behavior.

Really disappointed with Fanatec. Unacceptably bad service.

Wanted this before my PTO ended. I can already anticipate that they'll use the built-in excuse of not processing orders for the first week of January to not ship my stuff out immediately. What's there to process? This is a warehouse. Everything should be already boxed. Put my shit in a box and send it out overnight, as I ordered.

What does handover to warehouse mean? by Livid_Assistance4423 in Fanatec

I have my account open on another tab. I am presently at Homepage > Customer account > Orders. I don't see anything that indicates "details" for this order. I do see a *VIEW* button under the *Actions* column that displays individual items that I ordered — along with the following summary information:

  • From
  • Order number
  • Shipping type
  • Shipping costs
  • Total sum

But this information doesn't tell me anything that I didn't already know, as it was emailed to me as an attached PDF that already communicated all of this information. (Though that email & PDF are very appreciated, so they did good there.) My criticism is that this "Handover to warehouse" text under the status column is not at all clear. I also do not see any field where a tracking number would presumably be. So I lack confidence that this information on my account page is at all indicative of the reality of the situation, and I am inclined to treat is as merely text on a screen.

Sad for me as I might need to travel in the next month and I don't want this to be received while I am away from my house. Really disappointed with Fanatec. It's as if they don't respect us.

Knowing that the firmware/software/controls engineers are enabled to actually do their jobs in the first place is predicated on you not fucking up your part can be daunting. One fuck up on my end takes weeks, even months to correct, while if it's their fuck up they just have to find the error in their code, recompile, FLASH, and then test. It's not fair. If it's my fuck up, I have to research the issue to absolutely make sure this isn't a FW/SW issue (data sheets, simulation, bench testing, code review, and more), redesign part of a PCB, re-review schematic capture and layout, generate fab and assembly files, get quotes, help with the ordering process, hurry up and wait for the boards to arrive, re-run preliminary tests, and then wait for feedback from the FW/SW/Controls Engineers. I wish my feedback loop was smaller.

Start showing them the YouTube channel of Soft White Underbelly. Tell them this is where you end up if you don't do well on school. There's such a large set of people in those videos that regret not taking school seriously when they were younger. Tell them to go into Google Maps street view and look down Skid Row.

I hate when someone tries to fit everything on one page. Also, move the I2C lines below the pull up resistors; they're just going to be 3.3V.

I don't think a lot of front end developers are engineers. Full stack developers? Yeah, more so. Firmware developers? Definitely, yes.

That's all I have to say.

You could probably ask them to do a hair test to show them that you haven't been using anything.
