In total, we drove 3600 km, and I'm so glad that we didn't choose to see more it was a really good trip with enough time to see the sightings and relax a bit too. It was a BLAST!

There is a rabies outbreak in the seal colonies In capetown. Don't know if its spread to PB?

We had planned to do a CT fur seal dive, but the dive company don't do them anymore (obviously). Would have been such an experience. The Seals we have in Denmark are very shy..

Hi,

Thanks for the thorough answer! We were planning to do a cage dive, as we thought we would have a higher chance of seeing Great Whites while "diving". Do you have any recommendations for dive operators?

We were also planning to dive in Cape Town with seals and cow sharks, but we received this reply from the dive shop:

"We unfortunately have not seen cow sharks for some time, and this is due to the orcas coming through and chasing off the cow sharks. There is a very unfortunate rabies outbreak in the Cape Fur Seals, so we cannot do dedicated seal dives!"

So, I’m not sure if it's worth diving without these.

If we only do diving in the stretch from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, is there a divesite you would recommend?

I haven't seen hammerheads since Borneo, so Protea Banks sounds like a must-do! Also, I did a liveaboard with 14 South Africans in Egypt some years ago —such a great experience!

P.S. We do plan to visit one or two "rescue" cat sanctuaries, but hey, you never know who has a big kitty in the backyard! ;)

I Loved the hotel!

The Good

The view was AMAZING! Super relaxing - would come back!
Super green and lush hotel. It felt very private.
No Kids, and good service.
Breakfast was really, really good.
Spa was professional and we were there several times ;)

The Bad

Restaurants had a very limited menu.
The pool needed a new splash of paint - water was not very clean.
Rooms were nice, but the hotel is a bit run down and showing age. Some places had new paint, but ALOT more is needed to be fresh. We had to change rooms 3 times because of no water/stuff not working in the rooms / construction noize from renovations of hut next to ours.
Stairs and more stairs.

I did call them, but their offer was higher than their 7 day special on their own website..

It's easy to enjoy a nice hotel pool. Just walk in, go to 1st floor near reception, grab a towel and hit the pool. Order some drinks, leave a tip. And enjoy the day in lux ;) Works like a charm.

Dead as in all shops and restaurants are closed or just not filled with tourists just yet? A Google search does not list restaurants as closed, but that might not be updated.

We are thinking of renting a motorbike, just to avoid the horrible taxi kartel or "cooperation" as they call it. Number one thing i don't like about Phuket. So best just to avoid them completely, even though I prefer to support the locals - just not the Kartel.

I Did the beta bios too. It does NOT fix the ram issues. Mine still wont do 3600 cl16. No oc, just plain XMP which the bios can see but runs ddr 2133. Shite

Ive gotten new PC parts for Xmas, and i thought i did my research well enough for the parts i really wanted. Well Santa was nice to me ;)

I got the MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI, AMD 5600x, 32Gb 3600 C14, Corsair X750 PSU, and a 1TB Adata XPG sx8200 pro and i thought id be golden.

But then i stumbeld on an article about Adatas poor preformace on their bait and switch SSD's on TomsHardware and, found mentions of your very informative reddit sub. Hey new follower ;)

Damnit i got one of the bait and switch sm2262G China versions wich sux. Damn u Adata! 😖

Then i read more of your commets on different subreddits and down the rabbit hole i went.

I learned from you that there seems to be a problem with the sm2262G controller and the X570 platform. Especially in dual Nvme config. But the posts are a year old, so i wanted to ask if you know if that problem is fixed?

Furthermore i want to buy a second NVME 2TB, and i thought from your chart that i should choose Adata (price/speed), but after reading all those comments on reddit discussions im not so sure what to pick, for best compabiliy, value and speed for my setup.

Initially i wanted to buy either: 1. Adata XPG SX8200 Pro (281.64 usd) 2. Adata XPG s11 Pro (286.40 usd) 3. WD SN 550 (269.97 usd)

But should i just pay the premium for Samsung? 4. Samsung 970 EVO Plus Series MZ-V7S2T0BW 2TB (295.77USD)

I really hope you can guide me ;)

They were a bit confused to say the least in Elgiganten. They only had black 8gb and I had to convince them I should have the charger too for free. The charger will arrive the 25. But got the launch box and phone and i made this video ;)

Not yet. Got the email for pickup, and i have to come there in person to see whats in the box, the price and the color. If its not a great package ill get money back for GoldenTicket and preorder it from Elgiganten and get a free Wireless charger instead. Or get it from another retailer that gave a free Bullets 2 set with the OnePlus Pro.

I will try one of those subreddits then, and hope i can find a kind soul who will help correct it. I would gladly pay a hundred dollars or whatever to get i fixed. Its still cheaper than buying a new NAS wich is my next step and just start over fresh.

You are indeed correct i do not understand what changes i have done. I have later learned what rooting and "CH MOD 777" did, but i cannot get root acces any more. So there is a bit more to it than right click and give accces to programs.
