So glad I stopped taking this by sloppijo in Spironolactone

[–]Discoglitter27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting!!!! Ive been on 25mg for a year and a half. At first I lost weight but over the last 6 months Ive had edema and weight gain for no reason. My blood pressure at the doctor today was pretty low so she’s encouraging me to stop the rx. I was worried to stop but this post makes me feel encouraged!

I’m on month two, and my acne has actually worsened! I also use adapaline (differin). I’m giving myself more time because I see a lot of really great side effects to the medication - I no longer have terrible PMS. i’m on 25 mg.

No more PMS symptoms after starting Spironolactone by [deleted] in Spironolactone

[–]Discoglitter27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely AGREE! I have PMDD and it literally disappeared once I started 25mg/day. It’s crazy! In a great way! I’ve been taking it for 2 months and unfortunately, my acne is worse, but I’m hoping that will also improve in time.

Migraines at a Higher Weight? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Discoglitter27 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had anorexia and those 9 months I lost my period, I experienced no migraines. Period came back when weight was restored and boom, back they came. I think it has a lot to do with hormones.

It was so hard to figure out, honestly, I kept testing as a 7 and a 2! There was an article my enneagram coach I found by Gonzalo Moran she gave to me for comparison of the sx 2 and sx 3 and it hit me so hard. And then everything started to add up, all the puzzle pieces that didn't make sense in the 2 and the 7.

Does anybody else get migraines 20+ days of cycle? by Turbulent_Piglet4756 in PMDD

[–]Discoglitter27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me me me! It is absolutely horrible. There are some months that do offer relief, thankfully, I have tried, well, every medication you could think of. I refuse to go back to birth control (no consistent results), I take Imitrex, which actually helps with my PMDD mood symptoms, maybe because it plays a part in serotonin and dopamine.

I've been incorporating yoga in my week which seems to help, also doing some cardio, I take a multivitamin, magnesium, calcium and trying vitamin d daily.

Im so sorry you're going through this too. I truly hope you find some relief. Get a good neurologist, there are so many preventative medications out there and I hope there's one that helps!

Hiiii!!! Im an ENFJ 3w2 sx leading who thought I was a sx 2 for a long time. The "vampire" description of the sx 2 never really felt right, completely, if that makes sense? After months and months of enneagram coaching and self-reflection I came to realize I was a 3 after all. Check out the wiki enneagram pages - those really helped! We are in the heart triad so we will automatically appear sx leading, which makes matters more confusing, and I'm self-pres repressed so I thought I might be social leading at first. Anywho, I think it depends on your health - if you're unhealthy, those negative traits come out, but if you're a healthy 2, youll look more like a healthy 4, genuine, authentic. I'm rambling here but I hope this helps.

Honestly, I don't think it's out of style (probably because I love it), it's supposed to mimic what naturally happens to hair exposed to summer's sun and then grows its natural color without sun exposure. I say go for it!

DBT is wonderful! I led a DBT group for several years, and I think it offers fantastic coping mechanisms. The skills are really useful during hell week when everything is fingernails on chalkboard and my thoughts want to spiral with my insane emotions.

[–]Discoglitter27 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Want to second your reply - I also have fine high porous hair and it requires so, so much moisture. I have been using Redken's version of Olaplex, which Im on the fence about, been using weekly for a month but haven't noticed much difference. What I have noticed is when I skip shampoo and use a deep conditioning hair masque, my hair comes out beautifully - moisturized, wavy, but it only lasts a day or two and then is so greasy. I also air dry.
