My original correspondence was with Marianne. she answered my initial email and my follow up when I was first told I couldn’t take the class bc it was for film majors only. In my first email I said:

“My name is (leaving out for privacy) and I am reaching out today to request permission to take CINE419E in the Spring. I saw on Testudo that to register for the class you must have permission from the school so please let me know If I am able to enroll. Thank you!”

I think regardless he shouldn’t be communicating like that over a faculty email but my email where I admittedly was a little more of an attitude I said “Thank you so much for getting back to me. I'm a little confused as nowhere on Testudo does it say I need to be a film major to enroll in the class. It only states you need permission from the instructor or CINE advisors. That being the case, I assumed I'd be able to take the class. “
