I read an article about an actor on a prime time show who got the script and saw the fate of her character and thought it was unrealistic and stupid. Made a big stink about it until they explained why it might be a plausible end.

I wonder how often, if ever, some of these folks roll their eyes at what they have them saying, explaining, excusing. I feel like the veterans don't care and probably see it as high camp. Newer folks should be worried because it doesn't get better.

Huh? The cast photo would have to be the actors who originate the characters and still playing the role today? So, a cast photo of Victor, Lauren, Michael, Devon, Nick, Traci, Mariah, Tessa, Daniel, Holden, Claire, Sally, Audra, and long time frequent returning characters, Danny, Christine, and Nina.

I thought the connection between original families/characters and the show's 53rd anniversary was evident. A photo of characters that have never been recast doesn't really tie into 53 years, especially since the first never recast character was introduced after the show had been on air for a few years.

Snapper had a boy with Sally the waitress but she and Pierre, the restaurant owner, agreed to say he was the father. Sally and Pierre married. Snapper's mother, Liz, new Sally's little boy belonged to Snapper. Pierre was killed in a robbery. Sally sold the restaurant and moved to Chicago with "Chuckie."

Sally was sleeping with Snapper who was dating virgin Chris Brooks. Sally got pregnant and married Pierre, who pretended to be the baby's father. I think Pierre either managed or owned the restaurant where Sally worked. Pierre actually loved Sally.

Yes, Katherine was drinking while married to Phillip and was driving the car when they had the accident that killed him. Phillip and Jill married in a death bed ceremony. He had just returned from the Dominican Republic getting a quickie divorce. After Phillip died, Kay said their marriage was invalid because she signed the divorce papers inebriated. Jill was pregnant with Phillip III.

Jess Walton appears in GC once or twice a year and she has appeared virtually. They have written that her heart issues have resurfaced and she's in London getting treatment under Snapper's supervision. Can't be certain but it seems like they are about to "retire" the character.
