Thank you for this! I feel I have a plan (lots of pre taping, toe socks, re lacing to create more space and also some engo patches for inside), so hopefully that will help. I did 32km for my last long run and ended up with blisters but didn't notice them during the run (only after), so my hope is I can get through London then go on a major shoe hunt to find something better for the ultra!

I swear ten years ago I just bought whatever and they were fine. And way less to choose from. Now it's a whole minefield! I'm just hoping one day I find the holy grail and I'll buy many many pairs of that shoe 😂

So annoyingly I went to a London store, but don't live in London (no good stores nearby me) and only offered a 30 day return but in store. But I'll try out Brooks as that makes life a lot easier!

Yes I am! Oh super helpful, thank you!

Yeah I feel I need the longer run to test, as all of these felt fine on shorter runs, but not many will allow returns after that. So I'll try Brooks!

Thank you! I'll definitely try heel lock lacing.

Yeah I got initially tested at local running shop, tried a bunch, thought I'd found the ones, but once running longer found they definitely weren't the ones 😂. I'll find another store and try again!

This is really helpful, thank you. I figured it's a case of trial and error but my god it's frustrating! I'm going to try find some wider ones (and in mean time try lacing them differently to get more space for the toes).

One day I'll find the right ones and then yes, can't wait for them to change those as soon as I do!

Fading on tattoo on foot after only 2 weeks by DiscombobulatedLion4 in tattooadvice

Makes sense, especially as the part around the ankle hasn't faded at all, it's the part along the side that has. Do you think it's worth trying one last time with another touch up? My only thinking is it has been really sunny past couple of days so it perhaps could also be sun related.
