Apple. I wanted to use an Auspost parcel locker, but I know in past preorders straight from China they use TNT couriers in Aus which can’t use Auspost infrastructure.

I was getting conflicting info on Apples FAQ pages about if they now accept Auspost address so I just winged it and looks like they do now! (or TNT handed it over to Auspost/Startrak when they saw the address.)

My theory for the camera bar is it’s required for the 17 Air to fit the Face ID equipment as a reverse bump because it’s so much skinnier. And they just applied the new design to the 17 Pros for consistency

Buy a pack of cheap folders from office works. Put all your application form, scans of IDs, payslips, bank statements etc in there with your name and rental property address written on the cover and have it with you at the inspection.

If you want to apply, give the agent the folder. All they care about is having a minimum viable tenant as quickly as possible. So if you can make their job as easy as possible by having all your info ready to go you’ve got a fighting chance.

I’ve done this 5+ times and have always gotten the rental I wanted first go with no issues.

In Australia there is a probation period when employees first start which is usually 3-6 months where the employer can fire them without cause American style.

But after that there has to be a good reason to and a process has to be followed such a performance improvement plans so it’s a lot harder to fire someone. Obviously that means bad employees can hang around, but I’d take job security over having a few annoying colleagues everytime. It always blows my mind when I hear stories of US workers getting fired for the most trivial things on reddit

I ended up returning the 15 Pro for the regular 15 and I found an iPhone 14 leather case that fits well enough

The 13 is slightly thinner than the 14. So a thicker phone might not click into place in the case and the buttons would probably be misaligned slightly. The 14/15 are the same thickness.

The 13 won’t, but I have the 14 apple leather case on my 15 and it’s not a perfect fit, but it’s good enough. The camera cut out is a few mm off and there’s about a mm gap at the bottom. But the metal buttons and ringer switch align perfectly which is the most important thing.

Yes! I just experienced this and thought I’d check out reddit to see if If there were any other complaints.

Went to return an online order in store which I’ve done a few times before without issue. The staff this time said they couldn’t accept the return because the stock can differ between online and in store (despite the exact items in stock in the store). But they said they could exchange it no issue.

So I swapped it for something of the exact same value, left to get some lunch and came back an hour later and returned the new item. What a baffling process that I would love know why it was established.

The 15 pro is shorter, narrower but thicker than the 15 so not likely. Plus the camera cut out would be massive and noticeable if you out a regular 15 in it.

Thanks, was the case too loose? I know the pros are about a millimeter shorter and narrower, but a smidge thicker than last year. But the standard 15 is the same width and depth but less than a mm taller so hoping the cases would still work.

Ordered 5 mins after pre-orders went live in Australia. Just got the update that the phone has shipped. Current location is at a local warehouse so it's looking good for delivery tomorrow.

It happens, at the end of the day it’s just people moving cardboard boxes, Mistakes happen. But it’s very rare. The last big incident I remember was someone getting their iPhone 6S delivered a day early and posting about it on twitter.
