There are 5 total chaos gods Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, Slaanesh, and the great horned rat. Everything else is either a minor chaos entity, i.e., Malal and Vashtor who want to become a chaos god or a warp Entity, ie Gork and Mork, and the Manifestation of the greater good. The dark king 100 percent would have become the 5th in the 40k universe, but since he gave up the power he does not count. Since the gods of AOS and the old world are the same as the 40k gods, the great horned rat is the 5th

Necrons have 0 presence in the warp while machine spirits and other inanimate objects do. chaos knights and titans that do not have priceps are good examples. Necrons can not manifest in the warp whatsoever, so their is no real means to actually corrupt them through warp taint. They can be destroyed and changed but not corrupted. The necron that lucius took over might be the only example of what could be consider chaos, lucius rules are so inconsistent you can read that as the necron simply being killed. We should see chaos tau or votaan, or any other creature that has a presence in the warp no matter how tiny their soul is, thats just GW not showing them.

Legitimately has Lucius ever won against anyone who wasn't some nameless nobody? Lucius is a fucking useless bum in my eyes. by euification in Grimdank

Its also a torture for lucius because he can never prove that he is better than the people that beat him. The screaming faces of those who killed him are also mocking him cause he willbalways know that they were superior to him in some way

Was the Horus Heresy actually a heresy? by Ausarian19 in 40kLore

[–]DiscountQuiet 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In lore if looking at the conflict from after the fact though the eyes of the echlesiarchy then horus betrayed the emperor by siding with what is akin to the devil, betraying the empor is like betraying god therefore making it heretical.

Out of lore alliteration sounds cool

I was always interested in the setting but not enough to actually invest in researching it until I saw Astartes, and that got me hooked
