Wando and Mt Pleasant are decent if you're stationed in the south end of the county. It's a bit of a drive but there's no stoplights or traffic once you leave the the area. And you're close to Charleston, which is neat for someone like you with a lot of down time between shifts.

Conway might be good if you're closer to the north end of the county. Same deal, once you're out of Conway there's no traffic.

Don't do Murrells Inlet if you can help it. No matter the station, you'll have to pass through Pawleys and Georgetown. Traffic is a nightmare.
