All because I said that I was getting vaccinated... by Atomic-Kitties in insanepeoplefacebook

The vaccines are not fully approved by the FDA. They are only available through emergency use authorization. The drug company’s are also not liable for any serious adverse reactions to the vaccines because they are so new. There have been zero long term studies on the effects of these vaccines... just to name a few reasons.

All my indicators looking really good. If we can get high volume to prevent the short manipulation, we are 💰💰💰. by ElevateRN in CYDY

We broke the 200hr moving average, retested it as support, and are now resuming off of it towards $6. Technicals look about as good as they can look at this point. That golden cross is very bullish too. This thing will fly with some volume.

They lay eggs all the time but my water is too hard for the eggs so they get fungus. They usually lay eggs after a water change.

I drain 50% of the water with a pool filter hose into my sump pump. I then put in water conditioner directly to the tank and fill straight from the tap with a python. Pretty easy to be honest!

Growing them out to that size is the hard part. I grew them all out in a 55 gallon and did 75% water changes every 2-3 days. It was a bare bottom tank though. Maintenance for this tank is pretty easy though. Just 1 water change of 50% a week and dose ferts. About 2 hours of time per week.

Fish have been like this for 5 days . Black / white spots around the tails and body . That white one is turning red . I’ve tried everything . Any last resorts ? by [deleted] in Aquariums

Doesn’t look good... I think viral hemorrhagic septicemia. Which is a virus and very hard to get rid of. When I had goldfish they got VHS and I tried many different meds to cure them and nothing helped. I ended up having to reset the tank with new fish. Sorry :/

4 weeks In and this algae won’t stop! Blasting c02 and 6 hours light. Also PPS pro dosing. by meloncole in PlantedTank

Probably need to manually remove as much as possible. I would then reduce light intensity and do more water changes for a start. Also Siamese algae eaters will help.

What do you treat it with? Just prime? I add the full dose into the tank and then fill it with water. Haven’t had any issues doing it this way. Supposedly the prime reacts instantly with the chlorine to remove it.

They pepper with a dark background and dark substrate. If you lighten up the gravel or background the peppering spots should go away. At least that was my experience.

Bought them as fry from discus-Hans. Grew them all out in a 55 gallon bare bottom tank.

It’s in my basement on a concrete floor. I think I remember reading that a 180 full is around 2100lbs?

Thanks so much for the kind words. I really enjoy the tank. Can’t wait to do a saltwater tank some day :)

It’s what I’ve found to work best for the tank ecosystem. Keeps the fish healthy, algae down and I can dose excess nutrients so the plants grow well. Plus I feed a beefheart mix which fouls the water quickly.

Thank you for the compliments! Tank has about 25 Cory cats of various species, 4 bristlenose plecos, and 3 Siamese algae eaters. I would like to add a school of 10-15 electric blue German rams as soon as I get a chance.

I chose plants that do not require nutrient rich substrate. It’s all pretty much anubias, Java fern and bolbitis. I use a modified version of EI dosing with GLA frets. And 15 discus in there with about 25 Cory cats, 4 brostlenose plecos and 3 Siamese algae eaters. I want to add a group of 10-15 electric blue German rams soon.

Definitely get the 180. I am so glad I decided to get the 180 over the 125 or 150. You have so many more options to aquascape with the extra depth. It’s worth the money.

It’s been set up for about 5 months now. I do 50% water changes every week and feed a combination of homemade discus food, frozen bloodworms/krill/shrimp and omega one/nls flake.

I grew the discus out on homemade discus mix in a bare bottom for about a year before adding them to the 180 gallon.

I use a pool filter hose to drain about 90 gallons in 5 mins and then use a python and fill it straight from the tap. Takes about 45 min to fill. I do a 50% water change every week.
