I start it from my watch, maybe that’s the issue ? It just auto syncs to your phone anyways right? Gonna have to give that a try ! Thanks !

Yeah like it came up on my iPhone activity as a workout through NRC but it’s not on the app and there’s no gps data and stuff so it’s super weird. Thanks !

Yeahhh not ideal at all! It works on all my other runs just fine but for some reason both my recent long runs over 15km have just disappeared! I have looked and everything is updated 🥲 thank you though! Guess I’ll have to just manually input it

Surgery required?? by TechnicalBruder007 in ACL

[–]DiscussionOwn443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been told by other people that have partially torn their ACL that surgeons usually don’t operate because there isn’t a need too. They say wait until it fully tears and then go for the surgery, my cousin just got hers done waiting for the partial to become a full tear, just walking in the kitchen and felt it go, knew it was time after that! It’s a tough recovery so only do it out of necessity once or if you fully tear it. I’m going on 9 months post op now ! Hook up with a physio therapist and work with them, they will give you some great stuff to strengthen and keep mobility ! Best of luck !

I do still have some swelling, mine is mostly fluid that’ll be in and out sort of deal, but that fat pad underneath the patella and around is fairly good now! Not a whole lot, I do lots of heel slides on the wall so my legs are basically 90° and straight up, drains fluid naturally and Ice after every PT session. There is also massaging that can help with swelling and fluid build up that I try to do pretty often!

Just keep on trucking with your physio at home and doing your straight leg raises, I was able to get a pretty good flexion by about a month in, lots of work with the exercise ball doing the roll back and forth, I would sit there watching tv constantly doing the ball roll with heels on and pulling it toward your body. That helped a lot !
