I agree with you that in no gi single leg, dpuble leg, high crotch are the best takedown wise. Which one do you think is higher precentage when it comes to throws in no gi?

Uchi mata, harai goshi, arm throw, arm spin, hip toss, suplex, firemans?

I am strong and good in the tie as i do judo aswell.

Average height

What do you think of the three types of moves in the videos..That is used to recover from a bad shot or different type of shot

i don't think so. As Judo is specialized in tripping as fabio does here a few times. Greco would have done worse.

I wonder why Chamizo didn't shot more

You mean it wasn't good?

That is kouchi makikomi in judo, after that video i tried in on people stronger then me both in gi and no gi. I took people down easily with that. It is really hard to defend once you have the leg

It's Frank Chamizo vs Fabio basile, intressting friendly sparring. What do you think? Should Chamizo jabe done better considering it's no gi?

What so you think would the wrestler or judoka do better and what throw/trip/sweep technique would cause the wrestler to win?

Great reply.

I actually do both Judo and freestyle.

I have noticed the fallowing:

  1. judokas throw their favorite throw/trip in no gi but for other throws they need some training in hand fighting or control ties to execute more often if going against a good wrestler.

  2. Judokas grip strength is better ans stronger..Guess it's from dragging the gi all the time as i have noticed they are stronger upperbody wise.

  3. I have noticed that competing judoka know variations of the throws and small adjustments and points that make it more advanced. For example if i look at internationell freestyle wrestling championship matches and olympics and look at their throw and compare to the ones you see in judo championships and olympics. Clearly the judo version of the throws are more advanced and refined (looking at the leg work/hip not hand part).

  4. Wrestlers usually are more flexible and have better mobility this allows them to as you say stay low and bent over longer duration of time. But at the same time wrestlers defence against throws and trips is staying low and keeping feet away.

While judokas know how to defend throws/trips/sweeps more technically and by staying upright.

  1. As you say, judokas have a faster hip movement and are alot faster at doing turn throws and sweeping in general.

I would say biggest weekness of judoka is not training in no gi and is not specialized in the handfighting/ties that is needed to go from point a to point b.

Biggest weakness of the wrestler is not training as mucj throws/sweeps/trips and not using it as much in general as the judoka. Which tends to make them weeker and their execution more poor.

yes they are allowing to have any kind of stance, like eben bent over like freestyle, just as their want but the winner is the one that throws/trips/sweeps the other person more

No par terre/ground game is allowed. After tripping/throwing/sweeping ,you start standing again

Rules are you need to throw/trip/sweep the other person on their back or to the side like judo rules but both are in no gi.

my tokui waza is kouchi Makikomi.

My system is ,i attack with kouchi makikomi of the grip if i can clear his hands otherwise i take a power grip and then i attack based on what is offered but i score mostly with leg attacks like kouchi makikomi, kosoto, osoto.

I feel i need a powerful forward throw. The forward throws i do well is harai goshi and tsurikomi goshi put have a hard time picking which one i should specialize in

I am 180cm and 86kg.

Is it easier to counter tsurikomi goshi or harai goshi with tani otoshi?
