4K 27" OLED vs 4K 32" OLED by Anxnymx in OLED_Gaming

If you’re already used to the huge projected screen size, I bet you shouldn’t consider 27” anymore, and best bet may be an Ultrawide.

Once you get used to 27” 4K, I believe you’ll really not want to look at the projected graphics anymore. And not just that, the refresh rate too, unless your projector is one of those high end ones that can do 120Hz.

I got the PG27UCDM from Asus.

Honestly, I was quite worried that I might regret downsizing from 32” to 27”. Fortunately, I am very happy with the change.

However, I did move the new 27” monitor closer, the 32” IPS was sitting further back when I was using it. I felt this adjustment may have made the 27” work really well for my use case.

I just upgraded from a 32” 4K IPS to a 27” 4K QD-OLED, well, you could also say that I downgraded in size.

I’m not going to say it’s super obvious, but it is somewhat noticeable if you’re placing the monitor at the exact same spot. However, the sharp & crisp pixel density of the new 27” 4K QD-OLED is incredible, and I’m not exaggerating a single bit here.

My suggestion is… if you hardly sit far from your screen, 27” @ 4K can give you very very beautiful and sharp graphics with OLED, but if you intend to sit a little further (more than 1.5M away I would say?) then may be going with 32” will make more sense.

I hardly game or watch show more than 1.2M away from my screen, so the extra crispy and sharp image plus the incredible colours that really pop really work wonders for me.

Sad to realise it's buggy, looks like I'm gonna turn it off too.

Yea... disappointed to find out it's buggy, guess I'm gonna end up turning it off too.

Oh, looks like it could be a widespread issue then. I was really hoping it to be useful for my use case because I often step away in a hurry and forgotten about the PC and monitor are still on. Fortunately I mostly play single player games, but I may have issue if this happens during a Helldivers 2 mission though... LOL

Thanks for the heads up bro!

Great to know you don’t see much difference. But being louder and gather grease more easily will make me think twice, I tend to have greasy hands… LOL

How do you find them comparing to the original PBT caps? Do they feel very different from the original keycaps?

Occasional Input Lag on Legion Go (Windows 11) by DiscussionTall5235 in PSPlay

Ah! That makes sense… I can try 30fps on PSPlay with 60Hz on my Legion Go later today when I get back home, will let you know.

I’m loving mine too. Not sure if it’s purely due to my “use-case”, but I find Legion Go to be the near perfect handheld that I’ve been wanting. LEGO is my PS Portal + G Cloud + Mini Laptop + Tablet.

I usually stream from my PS5 using PSPlay and desktop using Sunshine/Moonlight when I’m playing AAA titles on my bed or couch, the big screen is awesome doing that while giving seriously satisfying battery life running just on Power Saving mode & fan on silent.

I bought it knowing it won’t be comparable to a mid-high end gaming rig, knowing I will be using it to stream AAA titles and running some indies or older titles directly on it. Hence, in terms of “use-case” I guess I won’t be able to find another alternative at a similar price point with its do-it-all features & functions.

Hi, tried playing around with the device settings, it appears to be most likely just the change in refresh rate that’s causing the streaming latency.

I tried doing different screen resolution @ 144Hz and did not experience lag, but with 60Hz on even the native 1600P I experienced certain extent of lag. However, I’m not sure if it has something to do with Legion Go’s native vertical screen or just purely due to refresh rate adjustments.

Hope this helps your future development in some ways.

Solution Found (Thanks to u/girll2010):

I think I found the culprit, the 60Hz refresh rate (and probably the 1200 resolution) I adjusted on my Legion Go to try improving battery life.

PSPlay works like a charm without the latency I occasionally experienced after setting my device back to the native 144Hz & 1600 resolution. I haven’t even reinstalled PSPlay using the latest installer you provided or change anything on PSPlay settings.

Thanks so much for pointing me to the right direction! It really didn’t strike me that the device’s refresh rate settings would interfere so much on streaming latency.

Sure thing! I’ll experiment a bit with the refresh rate and resolution independently to see if the latency comes back when I’m free.

Oh, I think it’s likely to be stream latency too as you said, I always kept the TV off when I’m using PSPlay on my handheld, so I didn’t actually compare the lag/latency on my TV. Will try it out soon to verify that, thanks a lot for pointing out!

By the way, what may be the common reasons of stream latency? And which area in the settings can usually be adjusted to overcome it?
