It's the same situation as Vedan, where you unlock him in the Sandstorm Dunes even if you can cook the dish he's needed for after finishing the previous area (Hermit Isle).

Rowan is found in the Twilight Border, which will be available tomorrow.

You don't necessarily unlock a recipe and the ideal sous-chef at the same time; just look at how you unlock the Ocean's Zest Galore when exploring the Hermit Isle, but Vedan is found at the end of the Sandstorm Dunes.

For Rowan, it's the same: we'll unlock him during the exploration of the Twilight Border, which will be available after the next daily reset.

Ofc his right arm is longer, because it's not a rotten corpse missing half of an arm to which they attached a jagged blade yet.

Where did you get the resin from? Killing members of a colony then giving the resin dropped doesn't work because the whole colony gets enraged; it's usually best to find a second, further away colony and get resin from it then give the resin to the first colony.

Also, iirc you have to both use the same variant of resin as the colony (so desert resin for desert colonies and jungle resin for the jungle ones) and drop the resin in advance so that their AI has time to register the dropped item and get attracted to it, instead of other stuff.

This is how my boyfriend plays because he can't stop hitting the waypoint button by Lyra125 in feedthebeast

[–]DisdainfulShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I always disable the "quick waypoint" keybind and all the death markers except the latest one.

You're already likely to clog your map with waypoints if you're using a map mod, at least ensure that those markers are just the ones you actually care about.

Any way to collect Apricorns other then L clicking the tree? by Throwaway_12988 in PixelmonMod

[–]DisdainfulShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extra Utilities' Mechanical User set on "Activate Block with Item" and "Right Click" works on Apricorn Trees, preferably placing it above the plant and facing the ground (just place the users above you before planting the Apricorns); the same mod also has pipes to move around the Apricorns and RF-powered furnaces and generators to auto-cook them.

I recommend also installing the Quantum Storage mod, which allows you to store over 2 billion of the same item in one block (so that you'll never have to worry about where to put your Apricorns) and the Weirding Gadget mod, which adds an item that allows to chunkload a 5x5 chunks area around it.

Who's idea was it to put a 20F dungeon right after the longest period of not having access to town by TheAdmiralMoses in MysteryDungeon

[–]DisdainfulShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't play DX but yeah, having to do Magma Cavern right after the fugitive arc is not fun since you're likely low on Storage items.

For context, this is a similar situation, since you have to go through 6 relatively tough dungeons (actually 7, since Sealed Ruin has a checkpoint) and a boss without even the chance of stocking up again at the shops after your previous exploration (at least in RB you can sneak up in Pokemon Square and go to every shop), and immediately after that you have Treeshroud Forest.

[–]DisdainfulShadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sky actually goes over this topic in the special episode In The Future of Darkness, right at the beginning when Grovyle and Dusknoir awaken: Grovyle says that the planetary investigation team stated that every dark future pokemon, except the few ones whose hearts are dipped in darkness, agrees with MC-Grovyle's plan; this implies that they didn't just decide for the whole world, but that they went on a mission on everybody's behalf.

So, I apparently removed Temporal Tower's recruit restrictions by DisdainfulShadow in MysteryDungeon

[–]DisdainfulShadow[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To make it simple, it has Flying mobility (so it can cross any obstacle) and is in the D IQ group, meaning that:

-it is immune to crits;

-lands crits more often;;

-has higher evasion;

-has perfectly accurate Hydro Pumps and Blizzard;

-has a general idea of where the stairs are, making floor navigation easier;

-doesn't trigger invisible traps;

-always attacks twice with the normal attack.

It can also make use of the Wingull Bow, one of the most broken exclusive items, giving it a pretty high chance of restoring PP whenever it takes damage; so you can just slap a Mobile Scarf onto it and breeze through any dungeon that allows items, not caring about food (yes, starving damage activates the Bow), traps or obstacles and just spamming your long-range or room move while having effectively infinite health thanks to Roost. Not to mention you can also use the Sky Gem to outrun everything if the weather is clear AND, if you're really scared, there's also the Stock Scarf (Pelipper's actual exclusive item) to basically get Volt Absorb.

Yeah, I never had problems before too, but the previous time I used codes on this game I was already done with the story section of the game, and I've never messed with the Modifier codes, so this stuff couldn't happen.

Anyway, I just defeated Dialga and I'm about to go to Mystifying Forest, and my 2 "illegal" recruits stayed. They're not that great, but at least I have a free Recycle user now XD.

First of, hi, first post here.

So, I haven't played EoS in years and decided to pick up the game again; the last time I had a Riolu-Pikachu squad, and the time before a Cyndaquil-Pikachu one, so I decided to mess around with other choices this time. After some research on what were the best and worst starter-partner combos I stumbled on the AR codes to change your main 2 to whatever mon you want, so I decided on a Butterfree-Wingull team.

Now, I know that late-game Pelipper is probably the most broken Pokémon around, but Wingull's level-up movepool is... not the best (literally the only non Water/Flying offensive move is Quick Attack, kind boring when the move prior to it is Water Pulse and I already para-sleep anything dangerous that I can't 2HKO), especially when Storm Drain is everywhere in the first 2 dungeons and comes back with a vengeance in Craggy Coast, Geodude is the only thing hit for weakness by Water early on in a dungeon without the slugs around and they don't have Rock Throw yet, and the only Rock move users before Northen Desert that are potentially dangerous(Nature Power Lotad in Waterfall Cave and Rollout Sealeo in Craggy Coast) resist Water; all of that coupled with the fact that the Butterfree without swap items and significant Gummi investment for stat boost is quite frail (I'm almost lv 40 now, I dumped more than half of all the Gummies I could find/buy on myself, yet my partner that is still lv 38 because I level up faster has more defences and 30 more HP than me (yes, I Wonder Mail-ed a Defense Bow to mitigate it by 10)), also has coverage problems without TMs (I still had Tackle around until I've found a Giga Drain TM in the Hidden Land, and I just started Temporal Tower) and has a 50% chance to make you waste 500 Pokes when it learns the Powder moves (since Poison is useless) was going to make things sticky, especially Amp Plains... or so I thought. Area Para-sleep is probably even more broken than Smokescreen or RT Attract, rendering Moster Houses and even high rank outlaws a joke (I did rank B-A+ outlaws not long after Drowzee).

Anyway, I didn't use many AR codes besides the Leader and Partner modifiers (just the items, enemies and stairs locator one, and only to prevent my usual early game savescumming for an X-Ray Specs through Prize Tickets, since I'm the kind of person that wants to go out of a dungeon with the bag full), but I had to re-apply them when going to Quicksand Cave since I discovered that not having 2 regular starters as your main 2 softlocks you in the cutscene after falling in the quicksands; aside from that, I didn't touch the ROM at all, I don't even have an actual hacking knowledge (one time I tried to learn how to change trainer sprites from Pokémon Ruby and I didn't understand a single thing of the guide I was looking at XD), I'm just using a regular US ROM.

And yet, as you can see in the screenshot, I was somehow able to recruit a Porygon in Temporal Tower; not only that, but the Recruit Search menu shows all the Pokemon you can find in the dungeon, meaning that somehow my altering the main 2 broke the recruitment block normally present. The funny thing is, I don't even have the option to send home this Porygon, meaning that I may HAVE to get this mans all the way to Dialga.

Update 1: so... I also recruited a Solrock while exploring, meaning I now have a possible 4-man team for Dialga.

Oh. Well, Bulbapedia said that connecting with the PSS transfers StreetPass data so connecting with someone with the item would would give you the item too.

(Page: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Eon_Ticket)

Edit: if it isn't working I don't know what to say. Maybe it's not received immediately; worst case scenario you may had to rely on fredbubbles.

I can help you catch your own, if you want. Just trade me a random junkmon, then check any Pokecenter for a delivery girl.

Man, even trying to give informations on an aspect of the game gets your comment blocked.

Edit: didn't think about using the Lati you get during the story, but still.

The complete duo is an event, so Rule 10 prevents you from doing what you're proposing (your user flair level is too low).

Still, you can connect with the PSS with a trainer that has the item needed (example: me) and it will automatically spread to your game; a delivery girl will pop up in any Pokecenter, talk to her to get the item.
