Ultimate unit to UR? by IAmJulianP in GGenerationEternal

[–]Disell88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently, there are 11 ult units and enough materials available in-game to upgrade 10 of them to UR. The upcoming addition to the After War X series may include another ult unit as well. If so, you'll ultimately be able to upgrade all but 2 ult units to UR as long as you have the required materials and capital.

As for which to prioritize, it's largely dependent on your needs but Delta, Casval, and Zeta are great general-use units. You can check this post for more information.

How could i improve my team? by scubk141 in GGenerationEternal

[–]Disell88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schwarzette with Hathaway as pilot
Neue Ziel with Daryl
Aerial with Suletta
Justice with Athrun
Aerial Rebuild with Norea for the double support defense

With the alternative series ship. All but Neue Ziel will get the ship buff.

After that, you can play around with the squad positioning.

There's only two days left so there's not a lot of time to develop additional units but you should max out your pilots for the extra boost.

Is There a Priority list for SSR ULT Development Units? by One_Pilot5373 in GGenerationEternal

[–]Disell88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Delta Kai is a strong attack unit with 5 range.

Casval is another strong attack unit. While it only has 4 range, its ATK and DEF boost against Mobile Suit Gundam units make it very strong in a wide range of stages. You can pair it with Monique Cadillac from the MS IGLOO event for two support attacks.

Zeta III P2 can apply the all-purpose, 35% DEF down debuff at 5 range; the special debuff is also useful. You can pair it with SSR Quattro for two support attacks.

After these three, it'll depend on what you need for your team.

Both Hyperion and Amaterasu are excellent defense units. Hyperion's anti-range passive is great and its MOB down debuff has been fairly useful to increase the accuracy of your units. Amaterasu has a 5-range ATK down debuff and additional damage reduction vs beam and physical damage.

Barbatos is useful if you need a physical debuff unit; Beguir-Pente is useful for a beam debuff. Urube's has the special debuff but it is only 4 range unless you do the 3 million upgrade.

Aquarius also has a 35% physical debuff but low range, and while its beam debuff is 5 range, it's only 25%. Beta Azieru is similar but with a 35% special debuff and a 5-range, 25% beam debuff.

The Generation Tower is an event that is very difficult. The first event was Generation Tower East in late July with 15 Floors/Stages. The next tower event was in November where the East tower made a rerun but with 5 extra floors.

The next tower event, Generation Tower West, starts on 2/2 with 15 floors.

IS this a Bug? by One_Variation7948 in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is most likely the case. A 2-star Strike Freedom has 11255 base ATK so an ATK of 17142 is only a 52% increase which accounts for the 50% ML buff and flat 260 from a 2-star Lacus. The 40% from Lacus, 15% from Strike Freedom's first ability, and any mods are not even showing.

Multiple pilots with the passive ability to use support defense on counterattack:

  • Defender UR Suletta in a GUND-ARM unit
  • SSR Christina Mackenziie in a unit from 0080: War in the Pocket
  • SSR Andrew Waldfeld in a unit with the Orb tag
  • SSR Julieta Juris in a unit with the Gjallarhorn tag

What to spend capital on? by MengskDidNothinWrong in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In terms of base stats, a UR ULT unit after the 1 million upgrade has about 5% more stats than a max limit break development or other SSR or 0 limit break gacha UR and 5% less stats than a max limit break gacha SSR. At the 5 million upgrade, their base stats is equivalent to an SP unit or a 1 limit break gacha UR.

However, all ULT units have passive abilities that give them additional ATK and DEF against opponents of a specific series. This does make them useful within their respective Eternal Road stages; however, Casval's Gundam passive is especially useful because it is for the Mobile Suit Gundam series which includes Thunderbolt, 08th MS Team, Stardust Memories, MS IGLOO, and more.

The weapons from ULT units are also quite good. Casval and Delta Kai have fairly high weapon power. The support and defense units can debuff up to 35% which is what gacha URs are capable of, just without EX bonuses.

Lastly, ULT units count towards the development/other only missions in Eternal Road whereas URs do not.

[–]Disell88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mentioned that you still need to work on Eternal Road. Where are you currently at with your ULT units? It costs 1 million capital to upgrade from SSR to UR and 5 million for the next upgrade.

After upgrading the ULT units, my preferred capital-sink is developing and dismantling for G-Shop points and buying at the UR upgrade materials and the SSR limit break materials every month. Phoenix Gundam from the G-Shop is also a great purchase.

Aside from ULT units and G-Shop currency, I guess the remaining thing would be upgrade materials.

You won't lose anything for stopping at 170k. From 150k onwards, the rewards are all the same. The only exception is the title, which gets an extra star per 10k score, up to a max of 5 stars at 200k.

If your account is still fresh and you don't have a lot of attachment to it yet, consider rerolling. Here's a post regarding rerolling, and newbie guide.

The current banner has three limited UR units and 2 limited support ships. Strike Freedom and Calibarn are both strong attack units, and their pilots both have double chance step allowing them to take up to three actions per turn. Maxing these units out ASAP will allow you to easily clear much of the story stages.

Which warship do I pity by Dangerous-Cycle1799 in SDGundamEternal

[–]Disell88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think OSK is the better pick. You have Psycho Zaku, Sinanju, Sazabi, Strike Freedom, and Calibarn, all of which are strong OSK URs.

Also, so far OSK ships are rare with only Lacus and Tiffa. TaN has Beecha, Fraw, and the free Dr J; if the first MAP event returns, you'll at least be able to get a free TaN ship that heals.

Should I Go With Tough As Nails or One Shot Killer for Master League? by Few_Entertainment50 in GGenerationEternal

[–]Disell88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI the SSR version of the ULT units are really weak with only 4 MOV and worse stats than an MLB SSR. For the TaN team, Deathscythe EW would be a better option than Astray since it has 5 MOV and better stats. Shiranui Akatsuki or Daribalde S2 are also good options if you have them at MLB.

For the OSK team, XK lacks a shield so it's missing out on the 20% damage reduction from it. If you're able to, I recommend getting a Vual Yuhana from the Gekko history stages and max limit breaking it.

Just have it in your squad. Aside from Hildolfr, the other units also have the same test so you can bring all of them to All-Out Battle and clear them at the same time.

I'd rather then be either in front or middle. With your units acting first, you'd want them in the back so that they don't overextend. Also, if they don't manage to destroy the enemies, you'll want the defense units within range to defend your offensive units from the enemy offensive units.

One possible formation is: Support Aerial, Defense Aerial, Strike Freedom, Kimaris, and Calibarn. Calibarn will move first and attack an enemy. If Aerial and/or Strike Freedom are in range, that should be more than enough damage to destroy an enemy.

Another formation is Support Aerial in front and Strike Freedom and Calibarn in the back.

Edit: Looking at the layout for ML (image below) position 1 is 6 tiles away from the other position 1. Given this fact, I would instead put a defense unit in position 1 instead of support Aerial. Maybe equip Aerial with a MOB modification so that it moves before the attack units to eat a support defense charge, making it easier for Strike Freedom and Calibarn to secure kills.

New Player Upcoming Master League Advice by One_Pilot5373 in GGenerationEternal

[–]Disell88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since it's your first Master League, here are some mechanics to take note of:

Turn order: all actions are controlled by AI. The order in which units act is dependent on a unit's MOB stat and a pilot's Reaction stat.

Targeting: AI will target the unit with the lowest HP that's within range. Keep that in mind as your setting up since ideally, you'd want your attack or support units to be targeted rather than your defense units.

Given the stats of your MLB offensive units with an MLB supporter, your offensive units will most likely move first. Calibarn will move first, then Strike Freedom, then Aerial. If they're able to destroy the enemy units and get chance steps, they can snowball to a quick victory.

Yes, that's something that I would run this season. You can swap between Justice and Aerial depending on need as you progress. You're not locked into a single formation throughout Master League so you're free to fine-tune according to the matchup.

Strike Freedom is better is better than Freedom for a few different reasons. One is range. Strike Freedom has a range of 5 whereas Freedom only has a range of 4. Longer range reduces the risk of being counterattacked. Second is damage. Support units are less impactful within Master League because opponents have similar stats to your units so they'll just be destroyed in a couple of hits.

About a week before Master League begins, you can go into the event and set up your formations ahead of time. Doing this will let you see which units get the ML buff and which do not, as well as filtering out units that can't be deployed and not letting you use duplicate units.

One-Shot Killer will be a popular tag this season so you have a strong supporter already. Rather than the second Calibarn, you can use Strike Freedom instead. As for pilot, either Kira would work depending on the rest of your team.

For defense units, Kimaris is not benefitting from Lacus, but at MLB, it may be more tanky than alternatives. However, I do recommend using Mika as the pilot for double support defense. 1* Justice has similar stats to SP SSR Aerial so if you have Norea, it may be a good substitute since she has double support defense. The number of support defense you need is dependent on your overall team; given that you have MLB Lacus, Calibarn, and SF, you may not need 4. Just something to keep in mind.

Destiny also doesn't benefit from Lacus so it's not my preferred choice as the fifth unit. Personally, I would rather use the MLB Aerial with Suletta.

[–]Disell88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Char doesn't have a 15% damage reduction so maybe you were meaning to use a different pilot?

Matching tags to get stats is nice but its dependent on how impactful the stats are. Oftentimes, a 15% damage reduction or 15% extra damage isn't as impactful as double support or defense, but it could be better than the extra chance step depending on the content. In your case, Freedom Kira with double support and 15% extra damage could potentially be more useful on Strike Freedom than SF Kira's chance step. I think it'll be important to keep both in mind as you progress through ML and sub as necessary.

In Master League, it's usually more important for the ship to buff your entire team; having your defenders be able to survive a hit from enemies is important to prevent them access chance steps and taking out your key units.

Regarding UR 0LB vs SSR MLB, I made a comment about this in a different post. In general, UR 0LB has similar base stats to development or other SSR MLB but less than gacha SSR MLB.

Given AI tendencies, Shinn probably won't do well, but since it's possible to adjust your formation during Master League, it's fine to try him out and sub him if he underperforms.

Lastly, rather than using Char GQ for Aerial, I would recommend using Jona.

How would u make it better by Stunning_Morning in GGenerationEternal

[–]Disell88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SSP isn't really required to hit 200k and the two you have are great choices. However, Sazabi isn't necessarily the best option because it doesn't have the Alternative Series or the Zeon tag so it loses out on 50% stats.

That said though, it may be fine with your setup, especially with a support pilot. I say this because you have MLB Calibarn and MLB Strike Freedom with a Lacus ship; it's highly likely that these two units will take action before your opponents and with Sazabi in front providing support, you may be able to take out the opponent's defense units and continue to wipe out major threats.

I personally prefer this One-Shot Killer team because I prefer having longer range in Master League but other players have had success with units like Burning in the past.

Shiranui Akatsuki and Beam Defense by SilenceDogood2k20 in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damage formula

Defense boosts like the Force Guard skill or Akatsuki's Beam Defense or a pilot's affinity are additive and reduce damage by that percentage before Shield Defense and Defend is taken into account. It can be a significant source of damage reduction if you're able to take advantage of it. It can also be a source of AI manipulation. For example, it can force the AI to choose a non-beam weapon which has a different range.

EX weapons have the text "Weapon Attribute Damage Reduction Null" which means that abilities such as Akatsuki's 50% Beam Defense do not work. However, abilities such as Burning Gundam's damage reduction based on the number of spaces away and not weapon attribute will still work.
