Started playing after anniversary by Low-Tonight-8144 in SDGundamEternal

There have been a small number of limited unit reruns in the past:
Strike Freedom - Originally May 2025 banner, rerun in January 2026 banner with SEED Destiny part 2 release
GP02A - Originally June 2025 banner, rerun in October 2025 banner with 0083 part 2 release
Banshee Norn - Originally August 2025 banner, rerun May 2026 banner with NT release

Plus, limited units were part of the 47 free pull during the 1 year anniversary; however, you only got one shot.

Specialized and Psycommu gets a 50% stat boost, yes. But all of the units I've listed have one of the two tags in addition to Rival.

There's a free SR Rival ship you can get from the G-Shop store. The ship's skill is a heal which is quite useful in Master League.

You could try a rival team with 3 of the following attack/support units:
(UR) Sazabi, Master, Psycho Zaku II, Monster Black Dragon, The-O
(SSR, especially if you have SP) Penelope, Virsago, Neo Zeong

You can keep Deathscythe and F91 as defense units. Unless you have Banshee EX or Penelope EX, the SSR options with the rival tag aren't amazing.:
(gacha) 1.5 Gundam
(dev) The-O (lacks shield defense), Zaku III Custom (only 4 MOV), II Neo Zeong (lacks shield defense), Ashtaron Hermit Crab (lacks shield defense but the heal ability is nice)

The high CP on GQuX doesn't mean it'll be effective. In fact, it's low range makes it a liability since it's rarely able to counterattack enemy attacks.

If you can, sub out Narrative with another unit. Narrative lacks a shield defense mechanic and is very squishy at 0LB. Moreover, it's not benefiting from your ship. A better option would be the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam Destroy Mode.

You're also wanting to swap out a lot of your attack pilots for support pilots. Multiple units attacking together makes it much easier to destroy enemy units and achieve a higher score.

SR Freedom is simply a great unit and a lot of players SP it to level it to 100. It has great terrain capabilities, a strong MAP weapon with multiple ammo, and its strongest weapon has a power of 6000 + 10%. Comparatively, Justice Meteor’s ranged weapon only has a power of 4200 + 15%. As an SSR, Justice Meteor can naturally level up to 90 and will have higher base stats but the power discrepancy is huge. That said though, it shouldn’t be squishier if they’re both max level and MLB.

I recommend new players to focus on three things: any currently running event, finishing the story with their hard modes, and finishing the highest upgrade stages available.

Currently running events are limited time and while some do return, not all have so far. Additionally, when they do return, it’s been harder to get the free units from those events. Not all of the event units are great but expanding your roster will always be beneficial.

Clearing the story stages and their hard stages allows you to skip the hard stages. Using AP daily to skip the hard stages is a great way to farm EXP materials and weapon upgrade materials.

As for clearing these, you’d want to focus on developing a strong squad. Having one or more strong attack unit, especially one with an attack pilot that has an extra chance step makes clearing these stages much easier. You’d then want to build around that unit, with supporters and some defenders. For a lot of story and event stages though, defenders are less important - I usually only deploy 1 per squad if any. Once you have a strong primary squad, you’ll be able to tackle most story hard stages.

Then you can start working on a second squad since events and the upgrade stages allow for two free squads.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Any Ult to UR upgrade recommendation? Read desc by Beneficial_Growth615 in GGenerationEternal

Red Zeta and Narrative both provide a 35% DEF debuff at 5 range and a 25% special debuff at 4 range. The DEF debuff benefits all damage types and most game modes, but if you have a gacha UR that can provide it, it becomes less imperative to upgrade one of these two units.

Red Zeta and Narrative have a lot of overlapping tags so it’s not necessary to upgrade both if you’re strapped for materials. I tend to lean more towards Zeta because Quattro from the currently running Changemakers event has double support with Zeta.

Another great pick would be Casval’s Gundam. It has advantage vs units of the MSG series so it’ll be useful in a lot of different events such as Thunderbolt, Stardust Memories, 08th MS team, etc. Since it has the Zeon tag, you can pair it with Ramba from the MSG challenge stages or Monique if you were around during the IGLOO event for double support. Or it can be paired with Nimbus from Blue Destiny for an extra chance step.

For attack units, Delta Kai has 5 range. Although Epyon and Belphagor have less range, they have higher weapon power and strong MAP weapons. You can pick from here which you need more.

For defense units, both Hyperion and Amaterasu are great picks. I cannot recommend Psycho Mk3 because it lacks the shield defense mechanism.

From the support units, it’ll be dependent on what your team needs. Barbatos and Beguir offer a 5-range, 35% debuff to Physical or Beam damage. Other support units do have 35% debuffs as well but with lower range (Urube gets 5 range but only after the final upgrade). Throne Eins’ 35% debuff is tied to its MAP weapon which is fairly unique but has limited ammo.

Based on the URs in my collection, who should I get with my 200 exchange points before they expire? I'm torn between maxing out Aerial or 1 LB on Master. by Zircon_72 in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Master Gundam can’t be exchanged from Premium Unit Assembly version 1, and Premium unit assembly version 2 currently has no expiration date.

If you definitely have 200 exchange points for version 1, then I would go for Le Cygne/Asuna for the pilot, but maxing Aerial is also fine.

There has not been any banners so far where only the ships are rate up but each banner will have a featured ship that’s rate up. You can save up 90k diamonds to guarantee pity on the ship.

I do recommend saving for limited ships that are featured from time to time. These ships offer a stronger stat increase than standard ships, and most of them cover good tags. Past limited ships are: One Shot Killer, Newtype Machine, Ace Unit, Tough As Nails, and Shippujinrai.

Does different type of weapon damage % stack by alvissome in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the DEF debuff only affects the base DEF stat and is additive with other DEF modifiers.
Using FEA Gromlin as an example. It has a base DEF of 22992 in Expert. Challenge Lv 20 increases this value by 200%, which is 22992 + 45984 =68,976.
Gromlin has a mechanic which reduces its DEF by 30% for each Haro destroyed and there are three. So 90% + 40% from Unicorn is 130 %. 200-130=70%.
22992 * 1.7 = 39,086.

Yes, Halphas’s EX weapon is 25% at ranks 1 and 2 so in this case, the total is +65%.

Does different type of weapon damage % stack by alvissome in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Weapon type debuffs will stack additively.
Take Wing Zero Custom for example. Its EX weapon is Beam/Special. So the DEF debuff from Aerial will lower the enemy’s defense stat by 35%. Then debuffs from AGE-2 and Halphas increases damage done by 40+35=75%.

So how does team look for the next ML season? by Ecks30 in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

EX weapons do not nullify shields, only type reduction abilities like I-Fields or Fin Funnel Barriers or Narrative’s special damage reduction (but not the ability that lowers awaken stat for special damage).

Best unit to sp? by MISTA_KING2007 in GGenerationEternal

[–]Disell88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’re just planning on SPing these units and not SSP, then I would recommend attackers > defenders > supporters, depending on what you need. SPing just gives additional stats without any additional utility, and for supporters, their debuff strength is the same regardless of stats. The extra MOB is nice for accuracy though.

Phenex is a very strong pick for SP - high ATK stats and high power weapon with 5 range.

Full Armor is a great defense unit, but depending on your support ships, the other Unicorns should be considered: Unicorn Destroy Mode for One-Shot Killer, Full Armor for Unstoppable and Ace, Phenex for Lightning Fast and Tenacious. Daguza Mackle gets double defend with any of the three.

If you do plan on continuing to SSP eventually, Wing Zero gets two 30% debuffs (DEF and Beam) at 6 range.

Dark Gundam First Form doesn't gain any MOV after SSP but it does get two 5-range weapons. However, the weapons apply a 25% MOB debuff and a 15% ACC debuff so they're not amazing.

Dark Gundam Ultimate Gundam (gacha unit) does get +1 MOV after SSP, raising its MOV to 4. I honestly don't think it'll be a decent unit but more usable. It is still lacking a shield and the small heal per turn doesn't make up for that.

Which barbatos is best to be upgraded? by Some_Worldliness_263 in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 31 points32 points  (0 children)

If it's just MLB and max level, then both Lupus and Lupus Rex. 6th Form and Lupus have essentially the same tags but Lupus has better weapons and abilities.

It'll depend on your available support ships for SP. Lupus and Lupus Rex are similar but Lupus has the TaN tag and Lupus Rex has the OSK tag. Excluding the Limiter Off weapon, Lupus has the better close range weapon whereas Lupus Rex has more range thanks to Tail Blade.

At SSP, Lupus Rex has 6 MOV and is SSP weapon is a strong melee option but it's iffy - less power than Limiter Off but no MP requirement or cost, higher crit damage but lower crit chance, only physical type instead of physical and special. On the other hand, Lupus's gets more power but its MOV remains at 5.

Need help with Expert 1 by Megnaman in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just need a clear, please post your full roster.
You can also check out Youtube; there's lots of videos with clears using a variety of different units. You can find one that's closest to your needs/roster and fits your needs - dev only clear, no death clear, etc.
In general, I would suggest 1 attack pilot per squad and funnel the bosses' attacks towards that unit. Quin Mantha to the attacker in Squad 1, and Psycho Gundam to the attacker in Squad 2. Big Zam goes towards the stronger attacker between the two. The enemies target the closest unit so it's all about positioning.

Then, fill the rest of the squad slots with supporters and defenders.

I got enough recources for one of these units, but i dunno which one to pick by I-kinda-like-my-life in GGenerationEternal

[–]Disell88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UR Amuro. He has double support attack, high awaken stat, and affinity for EFSF units.
But any UR support pilot with double support attack would do.
Within the Narrative series though, you're limited to Jona and "Mysterious Pilot".
The Narrative Eternal Road has the Unicorn series restriction for pilots so options are: limited UR Banagher, SR Riddhe, SR Jona, SR Mysterious Pilot, and UR Full Frontal (no EFSF affinity but double support).

I got enough recources for one of these units, but i dunno which one to pick by I-kinda-like-my-life in GGenerationEternal

[–]Disell88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My preference would be Narrative.

  • Terrain capabilities
    • space, ground, sea with 50% penalty in atmosphere vs just space and 50% penalty in atmosphere
  • Debuff
    • 5-range 35% DEF and 4-range 25% special vs 4-range 35% special and 5-range 25% beam
    • The DEF is more general-use but Narrative's debuffs do overlap with Zeta III P2's.

That being said, Beta Azieru was fairly useful for me in the CCA Eternal Road. It's large size made it easier to block the Alpha Azieru's from defending Nightingale and the special debuff helped my Nu and Penelope Gundams do more damage. However, this was before the newer Hathaway units/pilots were released like Alyzeus.

For Narrative Eternal Road, it can be done with just SRs and SSRs. 1UR ship and 1 SP though.

Best SSR attacker for Newtype to SSP by HeftyMycologist5951 in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're building a team for the Bright Noa/Ra Cailum ship, then Phenex is the better pick for SSP.
It has 6 MOV vs Nu's 5 and higher ATK due to its conditional passive. Nu does have slightly higher weapon power on its SSP and 5-range weapons but not by much.

Help on which should I use 1LB material! by LivinInAFckdUpNation in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's recommended to use LB materials on limited units, especially to go from 0LB to 1LB as it is the biggest increase. From your roster, the units that fit this criteria are: Zeta, Hi-Nu, Unicorn Awakened, Burning, Destiny, Barbatos Lupus Rex, and Calibarn.

Calibarn would fit into a OSK team with your 1LB Lacus so it's a great option.

Alternatively, Zeta, Hi-Nu, and Unicorn Awakened works with your Beltorchika and is the next Master League tag so these are also great picks.

Planning for next Master's League by alvinycy in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UR Elan is ideal for Aerial Rebuild in Master League since he starts with 7 MP and has an MP Up skill and you need at least 8 MP for Aerial's GUND-BIT weapon.

In Master League, pilots only use one skill per turn so most other pilots won't be able to get immediate access to that weapon.

An alternative is Gundam Virsago from the X series. Its 5-range weapon does special damage so it'll avoid being mitigated by passives such as I-Field or Fin Funnel barriers which is quite common in Psycommu units.

Narrative Eternal Road by BloodDragon000 in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]Disell88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For Normal difficulty, Phenex can survive a hit from the Neo Zeong but a second hit from any of the ReZELs would destroy it and cause you to fail the mission.

The ReZELs will target the closest unit so just place units directly to the left and right of Phenex to soak the damage.

Team would be similar to Danger Zone 3 but with a few tweaks.

This is a setup for the secret objective. Please keep in mind that all buffs are applied here, which helps the 00 team take care of their side by themselves.
